It's come in with a rush and people from all walks of life are doing it. Even people whose first language isn't English. Seems like yet another American import like the hideous word snuck for sneaked.

Hate the English language being bastardised or Americanised, signs that end a word with a Z instead of an S like it’s really fucking trendy ...Fuck Off.

This is slightly off topic, but there are certain words and phrases that make my skin creep. Strangely, they nearly all have food connections, and yes, I am well aware that this is weird.

The worst is 'all the trimmings'. I can never bring myself to say 'meal' and the word 'juice' makes me shiver.

On certain travel programmes when they constantly recap where they’ve been after every ad break. We already fucking know we’ve not got the memories of goldfish

that's as bad as when they waste time on loads of shows also when 30 seconds before the break they tell you what's coming up.

Be glad you're not in the u.s. where tv programs (sorry, programmes) have fucking pop-up characters from other shows appearing every ten minutes at the bottom of the screen to tell you what's coming up in half an hour, tomorrow, next week.
