And every time he played he looked so dishevelled, as if he had been on a 24 hour bender. I am probably doing him a disservice but I find it hard to believe he was a model professional.

We did the same with Kenny Clements , signing Kenny for England. Did love him tho ...he always tried :)

Selling Francis Lee was far more obviously dumb at the time.
Always liked Zin and didn't want to sell him but not replacing him was a bigger mistake than selling him.

Selling. Clive Wilson still pisses me off… other awful sales were Gary Owen, Peter Barnes, David White, Ian Bishop & Trevor Morley, Steve Lomas.

I was young in the early 90’s but couldn’t get my head around Clive Allen not playing and then being sold. Same for the Hendry sale, always wondered if we could have won something if they’d been kept. Think someone’s already mentioned Michael Hughes and Garry Flitcroft into the bargain.

If we had not got rid of a few during those 3yrs we finished 5th between 90-92 reckon we was onto building something half decent
