I like how some are acting like Subway is the very definition of British culture when acting all outraged when really it's a bloody American fast food franchise so of course they will do whatever will maximise profits. This story is just for the casual daily mail racist "bloody Muslims coming over here taking our ham".

No its not, disagreeing with Subway's decision to serve only Halal meat is not a race issue, its more of a principal, why should they serve only halal meat in a predominantly Christian country because of some complaints from believers in other faiths, why didn't they just take their business elsewhere and exercise consumer choice, just like some of the good folk on BM will now do. This is just another roll over and pandering to those shouting loudest and its wrong. If you disagree that's great, that's one of the beauties of this country and its why its not racist to disagree with subway's decision, for whatever reason.

People should be given a choice whether they want that kind of food or not. Subway are ignoring 95% of the population, couldn't they just have non halal meat and an option for halal meat ????

It doesn't really make sense, they are ignoring 95% of the population. I think this will put more people off eating it as they should be given a choice.
