Summer clearout - who?

Every time I see Casillas mentioned about replacing Hart I cringe . He can't even get into the Real Madrid team so why would
City want him . If people Are going to mention names at least be a starting player.

What you have to ask yourself Vino is whether Hart would get in the Real Madrid team ? The fact Casillas is being kept out by whoever isn't necessarily the full story. They might have the world's number 1 keeper keeping him on the bench.

Would Hart get in the 'rags' team ? Chelsea ? Everton ? Liverpool ?

He's guaranteed a place in our team as he only has pantyman to contend with.

Nope, wrong. Hart had some early season blunders, but hes still one of the best keepers in the world. Howard? Mignolet? Dont be silly. Equal to De Gea, and only a few are better shot stoppers.

Sinclair (not good enough)

Rodwell (never fit, never will be)

Richards (never fit)

Garcia (despite immense improvement and likeability, he is far to limited and there are more versatile players out there)

Dzeko (soft as shit, sulks far to much, doesn't fit the style we play, needs to many chances to score, doesn't dig in)

Boyata (absolutely bobbins)

These 6 are definitely not good enough for where we want to be.

Totally agree with the players you mention and the reasons. Add Lescott and Barry to the list as they are obviously going and that'll do. No real need to get rid of anyone else. We have done ok this season but it has been a season of transition. If Pellegrini has learnt lots from his first season in England, we should be able to build on it and be much better next season. Mass changes to the squad and it'll just be another frustrating season of transition imo.

Boyata (Would do great at a smaller club)
Pantilimon (20k P/W and not first team worth, He is good but not world class which we need - free up wages too)
Lescott (Going)
Richards (Not fit enough, not good enough on the ball to attack like we do)
Rodwell (Loan - Try sort his injury problems then come back to City)
Scott Sinclair (Not good enough - Free up wages aswell)
John Guidetti (Fan favorite but just isnt good enough)

I don't think Rodwell should be written off - BIg, fast, good engine, decent on the ball, two-footed, can score goals, can put himself about .... everything to me says if he can put his injuries behind him hew should be a top player and he has shown glimpses - I still feel we are missing a trick not converting him to a centre-back - something tells me he could be great there with our style of play ...

half wit only cech stands upto hart and he has had a bad season take a look at the goals he has conceded in a defensive team de gea good shot stopper poor area commander same with miget ola and howard at the end of his career NON ENGLISH like i said half wit

All depends on what FFP brings us, ie if we are limited on registering new players for UCL we can change less. Then it will depend on our bid for messi etc .... We need to chill and check out the big stuff

Any limits on signing new players will be appealed. Like Barca the punishment will be put on hold so the case can be heard. We should be fine for this transfer window IMHO.

The clearout obviously consists of those who's contracts are up and the ones who want to run theirs down.

Contracts up on Lescott and Barry

Sinclair was never good enough for us or most other Premiership clubs.

Rodwell and Richards are frequently injured and Richards doesn't want to sign the new contract he has been offered, so he will be sold.

This makes at least four "homegrown" players leaving, which I think means that Rodwell and Joe Hart will both be in the City squad for next season.

From the other players in the squad, I don't think Pantilimon gives Hart enough competition, and this means Hart hasn't really improved, this may be down to coaching, but despite Hart moving the ball quicker and his kicking being better, he doesn't command the area as well as the best keepers around. He is also a bit suspect at crosses, and does get beat at his near post a bit too often. However most fans forget he is still a young keeper and could still be playing at the top level in ten years time so he has some way to go yet.

Other players who may leave depend on who comes in, if we buy one or two strikers then a couple will have to be moved on, likewise left backs, and central midfielders. So Garcia, Kolarov/Clichy and Dzeko/Negredo/Aguero/Jovetic moving all depends on who is available, at what price and whether we can find worthwhile replacements.
