Summer Transfers

Mangala and Denayer are PL proved, Adarabioyo is an amazing talent and all 3 of them are going to be back-ups. Sane and Sterling must start every game- and if one is missing we can play Jesus or de Bruyne there, but we also need to give some experience to Roberts and Zinchenko (than what's the point of buying them?). Iheanacho/Unal can play Cups.
That was my point of view for the team.
For Peps 4141 we only need one lb and one rb, as I said previous on this thread.

The only thing Mangala and Denayer have 'proved' is they are both nowhere near the calibre of CB a club of our stature should be featuring.

What does this even mean ?

How about Bernat is more of a fit to what we are building here than Sandro? We aren't going down the Chelsea/United/Spurs route of team building where pace and power is how they recruit.

No but I prefer my full backs to be able to defend thanks

Bernat is also lightweight and your typical Spanish winger come defender who was pushed back because they aren't good enough going forward

Not in Pep's system. He the had the likes of Dani Alves and Maxwell not particular big players but who were adaptable. Bernat was deemed good enough to be signed for Bayern and is a player who doesn't fit in with Ancelotti's ideas.

Want is wrong with it though? 3 new fullbacks, a top keeper, 4 youth players in, new cdm and weigel. Theres probably no chance of getting dele alli or danny rose, and isco is better than alli anyways, and at the end of his contract.

Isco is average. And untested in our league.
He's older than Alli and nowhere near his level.

Not really. 4 youth players, already have a clause with rulli, we are already linked with fabhino and carvahllo who want to come. Only hard part would be getting weigel, isco and sandro but even then I think we will bring in at least 5-6 players in the summer and at least the same amount will go. Weve already got stones, moreno, sane, jesus, zinchenko, nolito, gundogan etc. in the last window so its not unrealistic
That list of players you're not talking about is easily a £250mil spend and the other problem is you're changing the whole team in one hit which would just never happen

Isco will not be wearing a City shirt, we already have players who can do the job he does who we will be moving on Nasri being 1.
Let's be honest here this summer will be our biggest statement of in comings due to the fact we have so many out of contract freeing up massive wages to the tune of 1m a week that's not inc Ths possible sales of Hart, Bony, Delph, Nando, Kolarov, Mangala, Nasri. We could also be moving on our most successfull captain & the man who gave us & TV the best moment ever in football Agueroooooooo

Things will have already been sorted for a few of the out of contract players with New York, China or Australia a chance to see out there careers.

There is no doubt City & Pep hold all the cards this summer unlike last year the players simply would not go & wanted the last 12 months payday & bonuses, that ain't the case this July & things will be hot hot hot.

Me personally I would keep Kolarov & the way Yaya has played since his return has definitely helped the way Pep wants to go but £200.000 a week that ain't happening so unless he halfs that wage it's good night from him. Another player who is worth another 12 months is my hero Zaba, he certainly could do a job filling in & used as back up to Fabinho & Mafeo, Kolarov has been Peps love child & he has done well for me & he can play in many positions but again it will be his choice if offers from Europe come in not Peps IMO but he could play 2nd fiddle to Sandro or could it be Rose .
A keeper is a must but could Willy be playing for his future & Pep wouldn't think twice if he pulls of a top 3 finish & a good Champs or FA Cup run for me this is the 1 position that will catch us by surprise, remember we need to start giving Gunn a run out in games next season so it's either Ruli - Willy & Gunn on loan or Willy & Gunn as back up
Midfield is the hardest choice for me with so many attacking styles & Players but what we don't have is the most important ingredient that won us the league 3 years ago GOALS from midfield (Yaya) we blob so many chances & if we get rid of Yaya, Nasri & Siva the year after next we need to employ someone who will score us 18-20 goals (Lampard) style & for me if Gundagun stays fit he could save us the money to spend elsewhere but if he get another injury where going to need Sane, KDB & Sterling to all chip in with double figures which is possible but far to many chances go begging.
For me Ali or Greizman has to be on our agenda

I would go for-
Ruli (£7m) while cheap Willy to stay
Fabihio (25m)
Laporte (£55m)
Rose (£50m)
Bakayoko (30m)
Greizman (90m) if not Dybala.
All of these introduced into 1st team- Unal, Sancho, Brahim, Humphries.
Out-
Bravo
Mangala
Clichy
Delph
Fernando
Nasri
Yaya
Navas
Nolito
Roberts ( not going to get a sniff)
Adraibayo (loan)
Kelechi ( Prem loan)

We are way too harsh on Mangala. He had brilliant games and decent ball-playing ability. Personally I wish he was still here.

Also think we can be too optimistic about youth players. I don't expect Denayer, Roberts, Unal, Zinchenko, Manu García or most others to ever become regulars in our first team, not because they're not good enough, but because of the calibré of player they are behind in the pecking order. If any of them can do it then it'll be brilliant but I would be surprised.
