Summer Transfers

Isco will not be wearing a City shirt, we already have players who can do the job he does who we will be moving on Nasri being 1.
I don't agree, if our current system is what we're looking to play long term we need an alternative to De Bruyne and Silva, i don't think we do at the moment. Doesn't have to be Isco specifically, but he'd be an option.

If Silva or De Bruyne got injured, we'd be looking at either having to change our system which is working really well or have big drop-off in quality.

We are way too harsh on Mangala. He had brilliant games and decent ball-playing ability. Personally I wish he was still here.

Also think we can be too optimistic about youth players. I don't expect Denayer, Roberts, Unal, Zinchenko, Manu García or most others to ever become regulars in our first team, not because they're not good enough, but because of the calibré of player they are behind in the pecking order. If any of them can do it then it'll be brilliant but I would be surprised.
He has lots of things" but ball playing ability, fluidity or poise weren't some of them.

I think Gundogan is that

Don't think we'll sign two right backs, there'd be no need and Semedo would be ridiculously expensive.

Pep clearly likes Maffeo, so I assume he'll come back in and then if we got Fabinho and Sidibe then you'd have

Sidibe, Fabinho, Maffeo and Fernandinho as RB options. Plus Fernando who he's played there before.

That gives Pep that perfect balance of depth and smaller squad/ youth possibilities.

Sidibe can't play RB for whatever reason and you can choose Maffeo if you dance bringing through youth, or Fabinho/Fernandinho depending on which you are playing in midfield.

He will want to cut the squad down though, he's already talked about how he really dislikes leaving 4 or 5 players out completely.

Unal is something special.

I get that. Is just that I don't like Sidibe as much as you do. But with all the links to Sidibe, I had to make accommodations for him. So I see him as the utility back that backs up both the Right and left backs.
.

Yes you are right, Semedo will be expensive. But I believe he has that Dani Alves type potential. I would love that to be realized here. Also sionce there are no other big money buys on my listn my list, I wouldn't mind spending the 30 million on Semedo.

Also, as you can see, I had Maffeo on loan for an extra yeat. See if he blows.

This season, I just think players like Semedo, Fabihno and Theo are all playing at a clip above their club level. And those types players intrigue me.

Yeah been thinking of this too. If that's the case, I guess no Semedo or perhaps Theo if he decides to play Sidibe at LB.

One way or the other we get 1 lv and 1 RB ad back them up with utility guys.

In that case my favorite would be

Semedo, Theo, Fabihno, Moraes Just those 4 will be a successful transfer window for me.
