Personally don’t believe we are trying to sign Harry Kane. Levy wouldn’t take less than £150m and if we were interested I think we’d walk away after 1 conversation with him. Also think Kane would really try and push for the move as soon as he heard of our interest and I’m not having that not one journalist anywhere has not got wind of it.
Not sure why some of you think we can’t sign a top striker whilst we have Aguero though? He is an absolute legend and still scores goals but he is now the wrong side of his peak, he’s not the player he was and he has always had 2 or 3 injuries a season. At his age they will only be more frequent if he’s expected to be first choice. The perfect time to sign Aguero’s replacement is whilst we still have him as we can still use Aguero as needed if the new forward needs time to adjust to the premier league / our system.
Obviously someone like Kane would come straight into the first 11 and would need no time to adjust, but I don’t see it happening.
