I think there are some big differences. Alaba plays every week for bayern so the last year of his contract is worth more as a key player than Sane who may be sulking and unlikely to be a key player. Alaba is also far more likely to sign a contract at bayern than Sane signing for us. There is a 0% chance of Sane extending with us.

I'm not sure where the number 20m came from. I said I believe City will accept between £40-45m for Sane.

Alaba is 28, sane is 23/24.
Alaba has no sell on, sane will be peak in 5 years.
Alaba worth maybe £60m, sane £120m so ratio wise 60-20 if 120-40.
Why is it only city that must accept tragically low fees and pay more. Yet Munich can can demand a fair fee for their players but bitch and moan about fees when they try to buy.

My opinion, keep sane as we have more important positions to cover this year and replace him next year. Then bayern can fight it out with the rest of europe for 1 of Europe's best potential players. We get time to find the right player and it costs them more. Sick of Bayerns arrogance, sane wont be an issue coz he will want to be in Germany's squad for the euros.

A lot depends on what happens next month but should we avoid a ban which the club are confident on then expect big things. If a 2 year ban does happen I fear for the worst in terms of keeping hold of our best players and recruiting new players .

I swear to god, if we just come away with a CB and nothing in those other positions because we've instead decided to go with a shiny new toy in midfield, I will lose my fucking mind.

Our recruitment has been shite for the last two seasons. We signed a winger we didn't need and a defensive mid a year too late. Didn't address our problem areas and now it's bitten us on the arse.

I get there's reasons for some of it, both footballing and financial reasons but we have to honestly assess ourselves if we're going to maintain our ambition.

I honestly don’t know why we aren’t going after aubameyang. He has 12 months left on his contract so wouldn’t cost a great deal, has unbelievable pace and can play LW as well as offers another goal threat through the middle.

Personally see him as an ideal replacement for sane He would score so many goals for us playing lw.

oops sorry menat ban from europe which effectively will see us struggle to get out targets nd ny top players who want Euro competition.

Whoever we move for, we shouldn't fall into the trap of waiting for the market to settle. Others are moving now and we need to get our number one targets in each case this time around.

The complication of the cas decision should be the only factor holding us back. After that we need to go for it. A footballing left back with pace, centre back and possibly another attacking option. Defensive midfielder could be an issue too, though we may get away with it if fernandinho remains capable for one more season.

The ideal situation for me would be Alaba, Koulibaly and Havertz or Martinez. Dreamland most likely but, if we got €40m for Sane, €10m for Angleinho, lesser fees but save on wages for bravo and otamendi (the latter I'd keep for a year if he was willing) then we'd potentially be looking at an outlay of €150m but for 3 world class players.

The core of the team remains very capable. We just need that extra class in depth to take us back up to the top tier of our performances more regularly.

We have one great CB, Laporte. The rest range from always injured to average. We have an injury prone LB whose back up is a midfielder.

Everyone is saying don’t sign a midfielder but with Dave leaving. Our midfield isn’t exactly so strong. We are one De Bruyne injury away from having midfield options of Rodri, Gundogan, Foden, Bernardo. Not exactly great is it. 4 options for 3 positions.

In attack, now with Aguero injured. We have only Jesus but according to Pep Bernardo, Sterling and Gundogan can play there. Bernardo was a failure there last night, I think if I saw Gundogan as false 9, I would have to turn off the match.

And with Bravo leaving, we also need a new back up goalkeeper. Do we bring back Steffen? Firstly he was a starter in Germany and secondly he suffered a serious injury.

We need at least 2 top quality signings if we want to compete next season.

It will depend on the CL ban verdict as to what we do and who we get. If it is upheld I can’t see any of the big names wanting to come.

We desperately need a good CB and left back though. They are must haves. Virtually all of our defeats have been due to sloppy play at the back.

Foden will be a squad player, getting more game time for sure, but he is not going to replace Silva , as long as CAS rules in our favour we must replace with high class players.
