Sunderland v City Post Match Discussion Thread

We are the victims of our own success..scoring goals for fun away from home has now got teams parking the bus..west brom and now sunderland..

Our players are not performing to the high standards we have been used to but to all those calling for the heads of Nasri, Johnno and Dzeko.

please fuck off and come back when yer heads have stopped wobbling..

It was like a panto script, you could see it coming a mile away.

The fact is this: When you get a chance, bury it.

Or there is every chance that will happen.

Correct. Our strikers are woefully out of form. Why oh why was Balo left out - injured or punished? We needed that little touch of unpredictability/genius today.

We play Liverpool in 48 hours. Players arent going to play twice. We did miss balo but that team should have been good enough.
If we aren't going to play dzeko etc today then when are we going to play them?
We weren't unlucky either - if you don't take your chances you've only got yourself to blame.
But not even on the bench? Baffling imo. Agree we got what we deserved for not dispatching that lot - they are shit and it´s fookin O´Neill firefighting as usual

Utter garbage today, Bob has to carry the can for that one.

Said before the game that it was madness to not have Balo in the squad, now he'll be pissed off as well.

Bad, bad day at the office.
Sorry Rammy but I disagree. He had to rest players due to Liverpool on Tuesday, HIS team created 19 chances more than enough to win this game. If we had won it by a scrappy goal the reactions on here would have been they got off lightly from a thrashing and on we march. Agreed an opportunity missed but Bobby Manc isn't to blame for this one.

We battered Sunderland today we lost from an offside counter attacking goal we deserved a win simple but we lost shite like this occurs the importing thing is we don't make a habit out of it....

We didn't win the league in December and we haven't lost the league in January... we're at the half way point now and still top that's the main point so far.

every BLUE should take note..............

When you have a chance to take advantage of the top sides loosing we should have the quality to make sure its done without having "one of those days"

A few players need a rest or a rocket up their arse i admit. The main issue is the starting team here just don't seem to mix to well.

We were ok but need to be more clinical and harder on opponants.

Of side goals tend to help the oppo also it should be said, roll on tuesday.

We weren't unlucky. We didn't take our chances - that's not luck. If we'd taken our chances that offside would have meant nothing (and we wouldn't have left it so open at the back).
Let's not start blaming luck or the ref.
We put out a team, with a game in 48 hours in mind, that was good enough to win. But we didn't win.

title-costing week.

Would have been better with 10 players instead of Dzeko.

Good time to lose; if there is a good time. Hopefully will wake us up. We've been really unlucky with recent results. We'll turn it around against Liverpool, and go on a run
