Sunderland Vs City Post Game Discussion Thread

Pretty dire today but all part of the natural progression of our club, Mancini has done his job and taken us to the level he can. In the summer we will see a massive shift in philosophy as we get a top level manager in either Mourinho or more likely Guardiola who with the backing of the Barca team behind the scenes will be unstoppable.

Don't worry blues keep the faith a dodgy season is inevitable until the foundations are finished, last year was very welcome but way ahead of schedule.

Listening to Joe Hart on GMR post game...some choice language he's using. You can tell he's within an inch of throttling the nearest person asking questions. Maybe today is the kick up the arse the team needs....seige mentality. Get back to basics and start grinding out some wins.

I think the choice language should be coming from the fans who paid to travel up to Sunderland on a Boxing Day to witness another lame effort. All well and good Joe getting shirty with the media but his mistake cost us a goal today.

i think he was getting shirty because he has high standards and feels responsble for letting the team and fans down with his error and costing us at least two points.

People blaming Joe Hart for today's loss, need to get a check-up. If we can't score a single goal against, Sunderlund, there's bigger problems.

Being 100% honest barring the Newcastle away game we have been pretty rubbish all season. Managing to edge over the line just in a few games.
It's papering over the cracks.

I don't won't Bobby out but he should pay attention to his rear view mirror with Pep and Jose in the distance fast approaching.

He should saved it in my book but it did dip in the last few feet

Agreed. Same with moaning about the free kick on Zaba that wasn't given. Fact is Sunderland on the break created the better openings than we did over the 90 minutes.

We're playing no worse than we were from December to April last season (pretty much half the season). We were NOT brilliant last season like some/many people seem to have some stupid and warped memory of.

57 points to play for.

We were brilliant last season for the first few months and for the run-in. Fab football, fast and deadly. Moderate to shit in between, granted. This season we 've been consistently moderate, fuck all to set pulse racing and few glimpses so far of the "new City". Not surprising the pessimists worry that 2011/12 was just a flash in the pan.

Seven months back we saw the rags win at Sunderland .... only a few weeks ago Chelsea did the same , and they weren't even playing all that well at the time either !

Today we bossed possession there , had more shots than them , yet failed to even come home with a solitary point ..... but then again you just KNEW that we would !

Hart aguero yaya tevez have all been poor this season.

If you don't strengthen you will regress as we have.
Rags always improved there squad yr on yr...
We haven't learned from this...
Its not over but do you think norwich will play as poorly as they did today on sat????
We are everyones cup final now and we havent adapted.
