Exactly, he's a coward. If we go out with a strongest possible team then it's the team's fault but if we go out with the strongest team and 4 youth players then it's the manager's fault. People here have bought into the totally false narrative that our young players would significantly increase the chance of us losing. That's rubbish. I'd have Barker in front of Navas every day of the week and twice on Sundays. I'd have every single player in the entire world, fictional or non-fictional, no matter what the age or current living status in front of Fernando who I think is absolutely bobbins.

Aguero needs less game time and not more. He needs consistently playing in the Premier League, not in a League Cup game. And we wonder why he's constantly injured now? I have no idea why De Bruyne needed game time as he's had a full pre-season and played games at Wolfsburg before coming here then has been on the bench or on the pitch for every eligible game.

No, they over there actually play their youth and are ridiculously shitting themselves that bringing on a few kids to see what they're made of won't immediately see them relegated, lose all the games and have the owners pack up. We do develop youth. If they reach our standard they'll play for us. Otherwise they go elsewhere. They'll have had a good experience with us and will go on to appropriate opportunities elsewhere if they don't make it with us. No room for sentiment.

I don't know a single person who consistently watches them who doesn't think that a few of them would walk straight into our squad. It's incomprehensible that Maffeo is still waiting for his debut for example, when we have a single senior right back fit. We killed Zabaleta's form by playing him every game despite Sagna being a capable deputy. Now with Zab out we're playing Sagna every single game aswell.

Winning a game, and then introducing young players off the bench is a good way of bringing players through. In hindsight maybe Pellegrini could have started one of them, but that game had Cup upset written all over it

Because this isn't one game. It's a consistent trend across 8 years where we have consistently failed to do something. The Dunning Kruger post was about hindsight and the discussion of tactics and how it could affect causality. This is about an overarching problem with how we approach bringing players through our youth system that has spanned near a decade. Many people misunderstood that as "well it's impossible to have an informed opinion on anything", of course it isn't. It isn't impossible to see that Sergio Aguero is our best striker because he has a record that can be referenced in comparison across many datapoints. It's impossible to say that Aguero would have been a better striker for a specific game than Bony because you're not working off of any data points alone in context of a single game.

Essentially, if you don't have any data to work from then it applies but if you do have data to work from that spans what is a relatively long period of time then you can form judgements based upon that. It's not necessarily correct, but you can at least have an actual opinion that is backed up.

Yet we managed to win 4-1 without risking further injury to Silva, giving him some much needed recuperation and all told we should have scored 7/8. Hart was never going to be involved in this game.
Your definition of lucky is flawed.

He's never played them in any game, home or away, despite the competition. Lopes got one game and a sub appearance then nothing for two years. Pozo got one game and a sub appearance then nothing since then.

I watch them a few times - but try to watch it in perspective. For example
If you watch 2 elite junior tennis players against each other they look incredible, watch them against a tour pro and it's a often a different story.
I'll give you the fact that you don't know for sure until you try them, and there is promise in that EDS.
