Super Joey Hart?

Probably a daft question -BUT how would Willy have performed in the game?
Would he have saved the penalty? Would he have punched the ball leading to their second goal? And would he have made the pass to Nando?
Not sure really. But the way the game went I think it would not of made much difference if Willy was in goals. But who knows.

Ordinarily, I would agree. But having just gone 1 up with a few minutes to half time, a risk free alternative should have been the order of the day
Might be time to put this to bed going round in circles now. Clearly two views on this that are not to be reconciled. My final word is that they both made a mistake and you can argue from now until next season about who should take the lions share of the blame.

Karen Bardsley just made a worst cock up and the commentator took great delight in saying it wasn't the first mess up by a city keeper this week

I don't think Joe gets enough credit from the media but to be fair, when any goalkeeper is on a string of howlers they are remember and lambasted for it. Just look at Mignelot, Cech (start of the season), Begovic and on and on. Goalkeepers are often the whipping boys as that's what most people remember last when the ball hits the onion bag.

Nonsense, he often plays the ball straight out to Busquets while he's facing the goal.

I'll make you a bet. I bet next season we play it out from the back a hell of a lot more but you won't see the goalie kick it to a player facing his own goal once.

I'll take that bet, easy money, how much?

It was great to see Joe as the Captain yesterday and he took that responsibility very seriously, going over to talk to the ref when the WB 'thugs' were kicking holes out of our players. The ref was giving a yellow card to one of them and Joe went over and it looked as if he was telling the ref it was about time he did something. He was also urging the players on and encouraging them. Much better Captain than Toure by a mile.

Totally agree and is so much a part of this club past and future. Just have a feeling that Pep may have other thoughts but hope not.
