Super Joey Hart?

If you look at last nights blooper and the one against the scum, ask yourself these questions.

1. Who could see all the pitch and all the rest of the players - Hart.
2. Who couldn't see all the pitch and all the rest of the players - Fernando & Demichellis.

Fernando & Demichellis are of cause partly to blame but Hart shoulders most of it.

Hart punches because he has been trained to do that, but he is not very good at it and often it would be easier just to catch the ball.

Don't get me on his distribution it is shocking and may be the reason he is told to play the ball short.

If he stuck to what he is good at and learned from his errors he would be fine, but frankly I think we can do better.

I'm sorry but shouldn't players looking for a pass from a keeper be aware of their surroundings? It was a poor touch from Fernando, that's why his team mates went to him to support him afterward and not to the blameless goalkeeper.

If I was one of Joes team mates, as soon as he got the ball I would turn my back on him and get as far up the pitch as possible.

He gives me the willies.

In general his ability with the ball at his feet is poor but that goal was not on him at all mate.

It was needless at that stage of the game. We had just scored and needed the sting taking out with it being only minutes to half time.
PSG were pushed quite high so even if Fernando wouldn't have made the cock up we'd have found ourselves under unnecessary pressure. His pass wasn't a poor one in the sense it was mishit or anything, it was a poor one because it was the wrong choice.
The back four at this moment in time aren't comfortable enough on the ball for us to be risking it.
His penalty save was obviously the highlight but then we all know that he's more than capable of pulling off stunning saves. Once again it was his decision making that was the problem for me. The days of a keeper making an important catch in the 18 yard box to take pressure off his defenders seems to have long gone. Sadly.

Totally agree with this, I found it astounding that people seek to blame JH. We have in Fernando a highly trained professional experienced footballer, it takes a second to look around, does he think Ibra had retreated to the centre circle and as for JH seeing all the pitch this is true it is also true that Fernando was facing Joe who was clearly pointing Ferna to turn/pass the ball to the full back, Fernando turned the other way, right into trouble.

Think Hart just can't win with some fans.

They moan when he just boots it up to the likes of Aguero and Silva and now some moan because he passed a ball to a player who should of been better on the ball.

If you watch a lot of players they look both ways before they've received the ball so they know their surroundings, Fernando just had his head down and just wasn't aware.

Expect more of this next season because Pep will want our keepers to pass it from the back in exactly the same situation.

What gets me is he gets slaughtered over and over regarding distribution, everytime he boots it long there's a bluemooner ready to chew his balls off for it, now he's giving it short to seek to pass it out of defence he's getting crucified for that too.

Time and a place isn't there? Just because we want him to improve his distribution doesn't mean we want to put ourselves under pressure. It boils down to decision making and I think he got it wrong on that occasion.
