4-5-1 for me away from home at least until Sergio is fit.

Hart

Zaba Kompany Lescott Kolarov

Navas Yaya Fernandinho Rodwell Nasri

Negredo

Pack the midfield putting Rodwell in will release Yaya/Fernandinho to support Negredo. Navas is perfect for away trips like this his pace works well. Swansea have a few injuries but it'll still be a very tough game going for a close an nervous 2-1 City.

I'd go with Milner over Rodwell, Nastasic over Lescott and exactly this team, pushing Yaya up behind Negredo so we don't rely too heavily on him to break up play. I just think Milner deserves his place in the team and is playing very well.

Not sure about this but he may have picked up a knock, so he might be out for this game. At least that's what the commentator's said.

Hart
Zab
Clichy
Komps
Nasty
Yaya
Fernando
Milner
Nasri
Navas
Negredo

Extra man in midfield required for this game. Pellers needs to learn to pack the midfield away from home

Tough game this one. Not our favourite ground and they gave us a game first half at home so I expect them to do even better at their ground.

Same team as Liverpool.

Kolorov starts over Clichy for me at the moment. Clichy was a real disappointment yesterday. Offers zero going forward!

this ones gonna be hard, need kolarov and navas out wide swinging in crosses and Milner or rodwell as an extra body in the middle to stop them keeping the ball.

Team more or less picks itself without Silva and Aguero.

Main question is who plays at left back, and whether to go with 2 forwards or an extra midfielder.

LB given he didn't start yesterday will clearly be Kolarov I'd assume. His crossing ability will also be important as we all know Clichy offers little going forward. I think an extra midfielder personally as Swansea are so good at retaining the ball, think they had 73% possession at Villa yesterday.

That's a good team that. Like other posters, I'd put Kolarov in for Clichy. We must have width, that is, if we want the three points. Of course, if we're just going for the draw, then Clichy over Kolarov. But the width factor is all the more crucial in that we won't have Silva's pinpoint passes through the middle to Negredo (although Nasri can hit a few..)

Swansea are a poor team these days, won 2/drawn 4/lost 3 at home this season. MP has different tactics to Mancini so I expect us to win this one.

The last I heard was that Michu has just had has op so is out of Wednesday game. Agree with most of the posts by playing 5 in midfield. This should nullify them if they paly 5 across the middle of the park. the team for Swansea will probably be the team that played against Liverpool, less any of those that are injured. I will not be surprised if Pantilimon plays against the Swans as Joe has had 6 stiches in his eye injury.

........which just goes to show you shouldn't place too much faith in stats. They've been unlucky with injuries to key players this season, and that has hampered their progress accordingly, but there was enough evidence in the opening 45 minutes at the Etihad in the corresponding fixture to suggest that they are a long long way from being a 'poor team'. They're just coming off the back of a 3-0 win at Villa as well where they enjoyed some 75% possession away from home. Without Silva and Kun we will have to be at our best to take 3 points from this game, and we absolutely cannot go 4-4-2 like we did at Southampton, a similarly inventive and mobile passing team last month. Ya Ya gets swamped against teams like this and we'd fare far better with him further up the field

they drew 1-1 at Villa.

Well at least there won't be 10 men parked around their goal. Toure needs to turn up and Negredo is hopefully rested and at without any knock/strain. Hopefully we get to see Jovetic finally in some form.

---------------Hart------------------
Zaba----Kompany--Nastasic------Clichy

Navas--------Nasri----------------Milner

Good that we were able to give rest to Zab, Yaya, Fernandinho only played for 50 minutes, and Nasri and Negredo only on for 30 minutes. Players should be fresh for this. I think Swansea are without Michu, Dyer and Vorm. We should be able to win this one.

I'd go with that, though maybe Lescott over Nastasic, who still looked a bit rusty yesterday

they drew 1-1 at Villa.

Sorry, having a very senior moment. Don't know where I got 3-0 from! The possession stat is accurate though and they racked up 17 shots at goal. The sentiment remains the same; this will be a very difficult game for us

Tough game this, and 5 in midfield would be ideal, to try and stifle their play. I spoke to my mate (stoke fan) today as we were playing golf, and I said it would be a tough game, he said they were shit and couldn't buy a win, and I told him not to say things like that because it could come and bite us on the arse!. Swansea drew @ villa as pointed out, but we lost, so does that make Swansea better than us?, no it doesn't but if we aren't on form both playing and tactically, then we could come unstuck quite easily.
