If we fail to win today it'll mean 2+ seasons we haven't won at Swansea, Stoke, Everton, Sunderland and Southampton in the league.

So, we really need a turning point with this awkward set of fixtures and that needs to be today. :)

It's a strange selection by MP.

I get the fact that it appears that he always favours 2 up top however when we don't have a forward for the bench, and playing a posession side like Swansea, surely he could have utilized the extra midfielder.

He's a mad 'un is our Manuel.

There's method to the madness though, remember the Spurs game, one of the few teams to have more possession than City at The Ethiad, and ended up 6-0!!! Maybe he's thinking along similar lines, Swansea are on a poor home run, Micuh is out, they aren't the same team as last season, or the season before, while we are a quicker, more mobile unit, they may have more possession, but when we hit, we hit hard, I'm feeling quite positive about the game.

Happy New Year to one and all.

Great to see the 2 big men up front.

What's the weather like down there? Blowing a gale up here at the mo

It's bloody miserable in the Thames Valley ; especially when you really are in the Thames Valley.

Happy New Year.

One suspension and a few injuries and still no youth players able to make the bench? I haven't watched the youth/EDS this season, surely there's one bright spark who can attack?

IIRC we played 4-4-2 against them at our place, and they had 62% possession in the first half. Just hope we don't get overrun, because we had Silva and Aguero that day to get us out of any trouble.

Silva was injured, the midfield is the same. Samir scored 2.

So he was, should have checked. So essentially the same set up, except for Dzeko for Aguero.

My heart sank when I saw the team.

We need an early goal.

Dzeko is a match winner ;-)

This is the first time for the Pelle and he sets little store on past history. We must hope his positive team selection will win the day.

TV fixture today ... I expect him to turn it on ... ;)

Seriously though, De Guzman, Canas, Shelvey ... Yaya is going to need to put in a big performance.

We need a win today - from here on out it's money time in the league.

Negredo / Dzeko together?? 3 in MF and a winger against Swansea??

Anything out of this game will be a bonus.....poss be our lowest possession for years.

We had shit possession v Spurs...Some right panic merchants on here.

I fear the worse today, only luck will see us get anything out of this.

Negrado and Dzeko don't drop into midfield like Augero does, which leaves us lacking numbers.

Not a lot of chances are going to come our way today with Swansea having the majority of the ball so when a chance comes along we should take it!

Might be a day we play for fouls around there box especially with YAYA and Kolorav record at set pieces
