Swansea v City Post Match Discussion Thread

Exaactly, there are only 10 games to go and we can't afford performances like that. Swansea were good but that doesn't mean that City weren't worryingly poor.

Just listening to the Norwich vs Wigan coverage, mentioned a reported tiff between Yaya and Mario at half-time.

They repeated it several times at the start of the 2nd half too, even when Yaya and Balotelli were chatting like the close friends they are. Much ado about fuck all.

If you tune out everyone who's throwing their toys out of the pram and everyone who's throwing their toys out of the pram at people throwing their toys out of the pram, you'll find everyone who's left agrees that it isn't over but we were very poor today and must improve immediately.

and we played our best football at the start of the 2nd half. Yaya should talk more.

10 games to go plenty of twists and turns yet. It's all to play for and we have Carlos back next week. C'mon CIty do the business WEdnesday then a week off and CArlos can take a bow and redeem himself.

Some thoughts:

Would have had AJ rather than Nasri.

Would have liked two strikers from the get go.

Would have even liked to see Pizarro on for Nige in the second half.

Also, it was always going to be a tall order with those two center backs.

Let's just hope our back line of Micah, Vinny, Joleon, and Gael is back and hard as ever (and played consistently in the Prem - sit em for Europa if you must) for the stretch run.

The offense we will figure out, and as others have said, Mancini will learn from his mistakes (we hope), but we must be sure at the back.

Whether we jump back in front, or whether we have to catch the red twats from behind, the season is far from over. Let's dismantle them at the Etihad and forget this whole messy business soon boys.
I'd have liked to see City go a little more direct. Swansea ahd loads of players behind the ball and we could have got the ball into Dzeko from AJ and Kolarov, and have mario there to pick up the pieces. We were trying to thread the eye of the needle and it wasn't working.

People slate Kolarov, but he's the best crosser of the ball at the club, and we needed something different

Would it be the craziest thing for us to play like a 5-2-1-2? or 5-3-2?

Kolarav has his issues, but he is a wingback. why not get extreme width from Richards and Kolarov on either side? They would have the freedom even moreso if we had three cb. Mancini is Italian, don't the Italians love that sort of thing?
