Swansea V City post match thread

Good to get our customary shaky performance out of the way and still get a win, we'll need to be a lot better than that against Spurs next week. Don't think we can play with Silva/KDB/Gundogan all on the pitch at the same time to our potential although we did play well in the second half when Kev went central and stayed there. Sterling or Dinho MOTM. Hope Kev is alright, although to be fair I think it was precautionary, he'd taken a couple of heavy shots to the head and torso and was probably just bruised and stiffening up. 10/10 :) Bring on the soapdodgers!
Hope ur right about precautionary. Didnt sound great when Pep was questioned about his injury :(

Infuriating! Sky's summation of the van der hoorn strike on KdB... 'not sure it was a pen?????' WTF? What was the difference between van der hoorns face strike on Kev and Sergios hand to face that caused the Sky witch hunt to get Kun banned???? The agenda hasn't gone away IMO

Too right.
Having seen the incident a couple of times now, can somebody tell me why Van der Hoorn wasn't sent off? The ref clearly saw it so why no red card? It was a shocking deliberate elbow and it really could have broken Kev's jaw. A horrible piece of play that was totally unnecessary.
Anyone who calls that 'soft' has to have a pathological hatred of City.

Nice drive down using the A483 with a brew and teacake at Llandovery station buffet, good parking space near ground and same route back with a stop for fish and chips in Builth Wells. And three points.
We lacked a bit of composure and gave the ball away more than usual. More worrying was the chances we missed - it could easily have been six or seven.
One of the post match comments was that we were making poor decisions in some attacks as we had so many options. Not sure I agree but I can see the point.
Swansea might score a few but their defence is shaky. We are still a work in progress (even with 18 points from 6 games) and will improve.
Let's see how we cope with mega-enthusiasm and a raucous crowd on Wednesday.

Thanks, but I meant for today game. Would be interesting to see if its the same average distance and Swans played really good today or City is a bit fading considering great start.
Couldn't tell you mate but to the naked eye, we worked just as hard but our passing was sloppy.

just got back yet another cracking game toughest so far thought Swansea pressed us well today and we did well to overcome them. Hope KDBs ok roll on Wednesday,

I hope Pep and the players were enlightened. Quality and tactical genius are nothing without heart.

One mind. Different hearts is the issue and I dont see it go away in no time.
