Swings and Roundabouts -Decisions for and Against

It was a really stupid decision by demichelis to go arguing with the ref at HT, he can't change his decision so just go up to them and say 'you were wrong and you know it and walk off'. Can't book you for that and the lino will be reflecting on it all of HT
Didn't do much good as the same Lino gave the free kick (dive by Kane)that led to the 2nd and then missed another offside for their 3rd , to say he had a shocker is an understatement

There should be another column that states 'impact on result' for example if an opponent doesn't get a penalty decision but we are already 3-0 up its largely irrelevant. Also, stating that de Bruyne goal as offside is stretching it as it's one of those very very marginal decisions where even after the game it's up for debate. Those sort of decisions should not be included imo, whether for or against us.

Agree on all points the marginal decisions should be removed and an influence rating of 1-5 depending on the score when game changing event occurred.
The actual final score is not as relevant as the scoreline at the time of the decision. The Time of decision is also critical as the Spurs first offside goal just before halftime had huge influence on squad and fan morale

Some decisions have no baring on the result while some have a major effect .getting a dodgey decision minutes before half time had a massive influence on the game ,we should have recovered from it but we never did .pity the 4 th official is not allowed to look at a screen & give a heads up to the linesman

Lamela should have received a red for challenge on Kolarov.

I thought so at the time. Particularly convincing when it replayed. Followed through with the tackle to deliberately land full weight on his foot! We cop red for these challenges and other teams get away with a yellow. Scholes was always 'spoken to by the Ref' and warned that he might get a yellow were it to happen another fifteen times!

I know our goal could have been flagged offside but it was a counter attacking goal with pace. What gets my goat is there two offside goals we defended the 18 yard line well and probably work on that week in week out even the commentator eluded to it so if they cannot get these calls right even though they have the 18 yard box line to help them what's the point in practicing it

Poor finishing first half and a pathetic second half performance was the reason for the result yesterday, not the officials.

Have we definitely established that KDB was offside when Yaya made the pass because everything I've seen so far is either inconclusive or looks like he's on-side not off. The timing of yesterday's decisions had the biggest impact on the game, particularly the one just before half time, it gave Spurs the lift they needed and unfortunately we couldn't use the injustice as motivation to go on and win the game. I do wonder what yesterday's match officials actually think when they see replays of those decisions and the impact they had on the result. I can't believe there is absolutely no comeback on them even if it's only being 'flagged up' for future monitoring. There's little point in them being asked to explain them publicly because all they could say is we made a mistake (twice) but surely someone must question them and put them on notice to improve.

I wonder how long we have to wait for a turn on the roundabout. Are we getting two offside goals on Wednesday? Is that penalty for which Mike Jones booked Kun for diving about to be re-instated on Saturday. One of football's great urban myths. Have MANUre suffered any sendings off for all the time Ash The Crash took to the 10m diving board?

The top and bottom of this argument is that we shouldn't be having it. It is within the capacity of anyone going down to a Maplin store to buy gear that would show WHAT HAPPENED ON THE FUCKIN' PITCH! It just suits some old cnuts to persist with a situation of which yesterday down Haringey was a classic example of a game where goals were awarded on the basis of what didn't happen!

No he didn't, unless you've never seen a football match before, you'd know that the team swap sides at HT, officials don't.

No idea how you can genuinely believe this. If two decisions are 'proven' to have been offside how can you claim that the officials had no bearing on the result!!?

Of course you could claim we might have finished better in the first half but we didn't, however, we were still leading the game. You or I have no idea what might have occurred had the correct offside been awarded in the first half, but to deny this had any bearing on the result beggars belief.
