He certainly was in January 2008.
I was told by an ITK off here that we were in for Drogba (this is when Diddier had fallen out of love with football)
I heard no media reports and nothing on here and thought the ITK was uttering bullshit.
At the end of the 2008/09 season, Drogba's agent was actually quoted as saying that Man City made a bid during the January transfer window.
He very nearly came and the fee would have been £13M
