The rags match day revenue is much bigger than ours or anyone else's, the sponsorship deals are some of the biggest in the world and have been for years there global image has been cleverly groomed using the Munich disaster to move it along, they have paid the biggest transfer fees and wages for year upon year, so how the fuck does any one expect any club to compete, the only way is our way

If fans and so called experts want a level playing field let's start from scratch, a wage cap, gates set at the lowest average attendance in the league ( probably Wigans ), or split gate reciepts down the middle, no individual sponsorship deals all deals divided between all clubs
in the prem, equal prize money, no transfer fees etc,
Do you think the rags or any other of the big boys would go for this, would they bollocks

These idiots dont realise that what ever we or Chelsea win now will be classed as history in 40 years. Mersey Millionairres, littlewoods, Utd being saved twice by investors (even ourselves saved them) in the early 1900s. Money spent will be forgotten in 40 years.

I usually ask them, who was your manager before Fergie or would you support Manchester City or Manchester Central had we not saved your club from liquidation? generally works with the rags.

No.

Maybe if we followed the Rags method of using home grown Mancunian players (e.g. Rooney, Smalling, Jones, de Gea and, of course Javier Hernandez) then it would, but spending a whole £25m more than them on our match-day squad for yesterdays derby proves any success will be shallow, hollow and worthless.

Plus we're not even playing attractive football. We're getting the first goal in a match, parking the titanic, and clinging on to scrape 6-1 wins. Sooooo negative.

But they earned every last penny through hard graft
