For what? He can't mean to manage in England as he won the league. Europe? He got us through the group stage at his first attempt. So, what exactly is he on about?karen7 said:Durham "there is still a ? whether pellegrini is good enough" haha twat

The cookie monster said:I think he said we paid just over £24 million to Porto.malg said:Has to be bullshit, as we'd be paying north of £55m for him.Dirty Harry said:The French correspondent on there seems to think we've paid quite a bit over £40m for Mangala, on the basis we've paid Porto £32m for 57% of him, ergo we've had to pay another 47% on top of that to the third party, I'm sure it doesn't really work like that, but that's how it was reported.

I dipped in for the first time in ages and switched it straight off again
It's been nice to not listen to it, so it will stay off for now

Perhaps they should aim that question at some other incoming manager who has no experience of the premier league, and from whom much is expected! If only I could think of someone.
Not holding my breath though.

I may be wrong on the £32m, what I'm pretty sure he did say was the final figure was around £44m or so.

City are briefing that we paid £31.9 million.Vienna_70 said:Dirty Harry said:The cookie monster said:I think he said we paid just over £24 million to Porto.

As I understand it, we are allowed to spend a total of £49 million.
Nothing for Sagna, £12 m for Fernando, £4.4 m for Caballero, £1.5 m for Zuculini. That's £17.9 million, leaving £31.1 million for Mangala.
Unless we spent the Rodwell money on Eliaquim as well, which I don't believe.
I prefer to believe City rather than some make-believe artist. It will all go down in the accounts anyway. Perhaps a better explanation is that City paid Porto £31.9m, and Porto paid a portion of this to buy back Mangala from his 3rd party owners to enable the transfer, the delay being at their end and not City's.Bert Trautmann's Parachute said:City are briefing that we paid £31.9 million.Vienna_70 said:Dirty Harry said:I may be wrong on the £32m, what I'm pretty sure he did say was the final figure was around £44m or so.
