Taylor for the Liverpool game

At end of the game VVD barges Aguero over and ball arrives with Salah who cuts in and Ederson makes a good save to put it round the post. This was a Very obvious error by linesman and ref.

If you interested watch on City extended highlights. One of first things I looked for as incensed City fans in that block
Yep that's the one criticism I have of the ref in an otherwise good game, how often do you see 2 fouls like that waved on, away from home, in that area of the pitch, near the end of a game, when the team being waved on were losing by a one goal margin?

Really did seem suspect and I'm not surprised Pep saw it that way, most of the stadium did too.

Ok another one from last night, there were two fouls on city players, one after the other but Taylor waved play on as we still had possession. Then inexplicably he stopped play as one of theirs was down for a so called head injury, done whilst committing one of the fouls. Alty Taylor starts the game with a drop ball which they punt back into our half !!

Why not just award us the free kick and allow treatment. He is a Rag Bastard and if he had awarded us three non penalties last night I would still call him that.

He stopped play for a possible head injury so he has to give a drop ball. The advantage had stopped.

Could he not bring it back for the earlier foul though regardless of possible head injury ?
He could have, if we'd lost the ball or been forced backwards and advantage was still on. Pretty sure we were still on the attack and advantage was long gone when he got a shout that Robertson was down with a 'head injury'. It's actually one scenario where the ref doesn't have many options.

I just watched it again and Robertson got a hand in the face. Nothing to it but for some reason the ref decided it was a head injury.

He hurt himself trying to foul a City player. The dick says play on, I accept he has to stop the game for a head injury but it was seconds after he stopped play and gave a drop ball. Common sense (sic) says he realises we had no advantage as HE was stopping the game. The man is a bent rag shit end of.

There was nothing to it, but from Taylor's actions (didn't look like his call) I'd guess he managed to con the linesman by staying down and holding the back of his head.

So I was at the game and have watched a rerun a couple of times. Why was a penalty not given for Robertson wrestling Stirling to the ground. It looked a penalty live and replayed.

That's what happened. I have it the tv now on pause. Henderson stamped on Raz's foot, ref plays the advantage, the ball falls to Fern, Henderson pushes him from behind into Robertson. Ref plays the advantage. Robertson stays down holding his head (we have the ball over by the sideline), ref stops play. He should have give us a free kick for the push on Fern and gave Henderson a yellow for stapming on Raz's foot. In summary, he's a ****.
