Taylor for the Liverpool game

He hurt himself trying to foul a City player. The dick says play on, I accept he has to stop the game for a head injury but it was seconds after he stopped play and gave a drop ball. Common sense (sic) says he realises we had no advantage as HE was stopping the game. The man is a bent rag shit end of.

In that position he should have given a free kick anyway. Surely a free kick from there would have been a good opportunity rather than play on when Liverpool had everyone back.

His non punishment of the fouls at the end were poor too. The push on Aguero and then another push a couple of mins later.

However, I’m not sure it was much to do with the rags. Surely he wouldn’t want Liverpool winning the league even if he did have a rag bias. Liverpool winning the league is almost unthinkable to most rags I know

So I was at the game and have watched a rerun a couple of times. Why was a penalty not given for Robertson wrestling Stirling to the ground. It looked a penalty live and replayed.
From halftime onwards he gave everything the dippers way, if we so much as touched one of theirs it was a foul, they had to commit 'orange' card tackles before we got a free and not always then.

I was the exact opposite on the Kompany challenge (i.e. thought it was red initially, but saw subsequently that it was a fair challenge) so goes to show how tough refs have it. VAR can’t come soon enough.

Not really. You're up in the stands. They are down there with the play and if decent should be in the right position.

People are still divided on that Kompany challenge though, even with the benefit of slow motion replays from numerous angles. Virtually impossible for a ref to confidently call it in real time. I think often they just have to make an educated guess.

How I wish any debate was what it should be about, the 100% Sterling penalty (again) not given, rather than the nonsense about a potential red card for a tackle that wasn't even a foul. Ridiculous.

I saw it pretty close and immediately thought Sala had dived. Having seen it again in slow motion I think I was right first time. He jumped in anticipation of the challenge.

This, absolutely. I still can’t understand how little has been made of it.

I actually felt sorry for him as Robertson fucked him over by feigning a head injury

Which is what fucked me off; he returned to form in the second half.
