Taylor for the Liverpool game

No Ric you give over. My point is a lot of City fans are happy to follow the media agenda of discussing the Kompany tackle (50/50 at worst) whilst at the same time ignoring a blatant penalty (100%). We should be discussing the 100%.

People have been talking about it though. And if you feel really strongly about it, you could always start a new thread. Easy solution there.

Why a new thread ? This ones about the referee isn't it ? The one who didn't give a nailed on penalty in our favour. Its only been hijacked by people focussing on one great tackle by a great City player.

Could call it 'Liverpool game - reffed by Anthony Taylor' or something like that...

It wasn't 100% though, in challenges like that there's no such thing as 100%. In real time, I didn't think it was a penalty as I thought it was a bit of both. Having seen it again since, I do think it was a penalty as Robertson makes the first move in putting his arm across to block the turn. What I think stopped Taylor from giving it was the covering defender that meant him think the ball was lost anyway. That doesn't mean it's not a penalty, but it does mean the ref needs to be absolutely certain to give it and I do understand from his perspective why he wouldn't have wanted to.

I do wonder with a lot of these decisions if the roles were reversed, whether we'd have the exact same discussion, just the other way around...

It really was 100%.
