Why do people persist in putting Kompany at centre half?

It's so damn obvious that Kompany alongside De Jong is the perfect midfield foil for our three attacking midfielders. Kompanys' talent is complete wasted at centre half. His ball winning ability and sheer athleticism is exactly what we need in midfield because SWP, Ireland and Robinho are so attack minded and lightweight. With the added protection of De Jong it also means he can push forward at times.

coz he is the best centre back we have.

Think you'll find 2 signings there mate!
And to be honest we only really need 2/3 players to compete for a Champions League spot next season.
