In the first set she was amazing. Just stood on the baseline and unleashed a torrent of passing shots.Congratulations Madison Keys for the AO Women's Title!
What an effort, what an amazing final, especially in that 3rd set all tied up 5-5. She had some amazing winners down the stretch to simply take that match away from Sabalenka.
It's been a long road, but she's finally reached the top. Credit to her serve and racket changes to help her improve to the degree she has during this tournament. Well deserved!
Indeed she was amazing that first set, and Sabalenka clearly was rattled at the start of the match. In the first set she was amazing. Just stood on the baseline and unleashed a torrent of passing shots.
Sinner certainly seems to be on some kind of incredible program.Like I said, I’m sure it’s genuine this time. Doesn’t mean it was all those other times :)
Disappointing final as a spectacle, but Sinner is just way ahead of everybody on hard courts at the moment.
A bit harsh.Sinner certainly seems to be on some kind of incredible program.
Tbf quite possibly mate. I’m guessing you know more about his tennis playing than I do. I only know him from the anti-doping articles, website and accounts that I follow.A bit harsh.
All will be known in April after the WADA hearing. Either they can prove him guilty or they can't. Until then, he's won them.Tbf quite possibly mate. I’m guessing you know more about his tennis playing than I do. I only know him from the anti-doping articles, website and accounts that I follow.
Proving guilt in doping cases isn’t straightforward when legal defences get clever about casting doubt around contamination. Virtually every athlete in every sport pleads innocence and unknowing contamination. That being the case presumably no one is ever knowingly doping then. They also plead the amounts found were too low to be of significance/benefit, when in fact all that proves is that they haven’t taken it recently. All will be known in April after the WADA hearing. For full disclosure, I was hoping Zverev would win the AO once it got to the finals.
Kudos for Sinner for what he said to Zverev afterwards on the court too. I was curious about that. I'm hoping SInner is correct at some point too.

Sinner has now accepted a 3-month ban.Tbf quite possibly mate. I’m guessing you know more about his tennis playing than I do. I only know him from the anti-doping articles, website and accounts that I follow.
I don't follow tennis too closely these days, what do you think about the 3 month ban? Seems very convenient for him to be back for the French?Sinner has now accepted a 3-month ban.
The relevant authorities accept that he didn’t do it intentionally and that, crucially, he didn’t gain any advantage from it but said that he has responsibility for what his entourage does.
He misses some big masters events but will be able to play in the French Open.
Well, the deal was obviously set up to show that he was being punished but without missing a grand slam.I don't follow tennis too closely these days, what do you think about the 3 month ban? Seems very convenient for him to be back for the French?
Fair enough cheers for the explanation. It sounds pretty fair to me given it wasn't his fault or purposeful.Well, the deal was obviously set up to show that he was being punished but without missing a grand slam.
I am against drug cheats in sports, and admit that I am a big fan of Sinner. However, when you look at the details of the case, it really is a technicality rather than an attempt to gain an advantage. One of his coaches was taking some medicine and it got into Sinner’s bloodstream when the coach rubbed some oil on his legs.
Hardly crime of the century and I’d say that for any player, including Djokovic, who I dislike.

I know I will get a bashing for saying it ? But is this the easy way out of tennis she's always wanted since winning her first major, Since that major win she has done nothing and pulled out of matches and tournaments even for blisters
OK she had surgery on her wrist and other little stuff but that's what life is on the main tour
Yes it isn't good for women and stalkers are dangerous, But I think she's overreacted
