I agree. That is exactly why he needn't worry about what other people are saying. He's going to have off the charts cult statuswith us right from the start. I don't think he'll ever have cause to regret this decision.

I can just imagine him saying to Kia after his first home game, "Thanks Kia, you really came through for me this time. I thought the rag fans were good, but these piss all over them! They adore me after one game and sing my name!"

And I think that's all he wants. He wants game time, he wants to be appreciated / loved by the fans and to be successful with a team that really, really wants him

He's coming for the money, which I'm fine with. Saying otherwise is just delusion on a grand scale.

Yes I think the money comes into it LazyArse, but I don't think that's the only thing he's coming for. I think he does want to feel included, he does want first team football and he does want to be loved by the fans. What I said was not incorrect, but perhaps it was not the full picture due to the financial side of things being pretty much obvious.

It's better than fucking around and losing the player as a result and giving other interested parties even the slightest chance of getting in and stealing our 'marquee' signing. I posted what I am about to say a couple of weeks ago and probably at least 300 pages back. Today Kia Joorabchian has dropped another inkling to the media that Tevez is veering towards City but a decision won't be made for about ten days. I am lead to believe that the delay is more to do with KJ's payment/ agent commission (not for the purchase of the player's rights) than anything else.

URG, do you know whether Tevez has actually signed anything, or is everything just verbal agreements at the moment? I guess with everyone saying it's in the bag, he must have agreed to something, right? But is this agreement down in writing and legally binding? Or has he not actually agreed yet and we're just assuming he wants to join us?

I don't know if there is a verbal or written agreement in place with Tevez and I won't speculate on something like this.

Where's the fun in that? And the price of beer is stupid in pubs because you can get a crate of 15 cans for £6.00 in Aldi and you can get it cheaper @ the offy aswell. I wonder if Tevez drinks...perhaps we should get him drunk and get him to sign under the influence of alcohol :-D

I'm only reading between the lines here, but i don't sense that any agreement is in place, so i fail to see why so many people feel this is in the bag. I'm a little confused to be honest!

Oh for gods sake Tricky_Trev, my points a few thousand pages ago:

1. KJ describing us both on Talksport and SSN.
2. Him saying it was a two horse race...yet spursmad stated Chelseas interest was media talk.
3. Spursmad got the Barry, Taylor, RSC stories right and he says it's in the bag.
4. Bought an house in Alderley Edge recently and enrolled his child @ a local school.
5. (see 4) If he's not staying at the rags and Liverpool cannot afford him, who else is there?

And a new one based on what URG has said:
