Stupid argument, if we were united fans we wouldnt think they were 'pricks'. United think we have a team of merecenary pricks, we like our players. It isn't a difference between us that we are not prepared to support 'pricks'. If you are this moral tho, I am surprised you do support us, considering they way we have gone about buying all our players.

I'm on about a win at all cost mentality. There's no line we wouldn't cross to win the league etc. Although I don't think that even they would be spineless enough to let a player play again that had let their club and supporters down like Tevez has to us. Quite the opposite probably. To me, what Tevez has done is unforgivable. It's not like handing in a transfer request (which he's also done.) He's refused to come onto the pitch when instructed to do so by the boss. If he plays again it shows that players at Manchester City can do literally what the fuck they want and I don't want to support a spineless club like that.

You are either on a wind-up or you are clueless. I am still pondering which one as I type...

The rags wouldn't be spineless enough to let a player let their club and supporters down? Have you been on a desert island these past 15 months? Rooney publicly criticised the manager and the club, accused them of lacking ambition, demanded a transfer and totally humiliated the club in the process.

Baconface washed his hands off him the following day, the rags support protested publicly at his behaviour, every messageboard and phone-in was full of how much they hated him and would never be forgiven. There were banners at the next match accusing Rooney of being a whore.

Like a sheep convention, they all bellowed the same mantra... Fergie wouldn't stand for it.

Two days later Rooney signed a new contract, Fergie hugged him, the fans welcomed him back like a returning hero... and all talk of him being a whore never happened.

As they picked up the Premiership trophy, his name was chanted with much joy.

And you think City should pass up on success just because a player acts like an arsehole?

Welcome to the real world.

I don't know of one off the top of my head.

I'm sure if we bribed I'd be disappointed, but ultimately I could live with it.

Could I cope with Tevez playing for us again? Sure, why not. It's the manager who makes that decision, I would only be supporting his decision.

I find it strange that all the foamers on here with their self flaggelation about playing Tevez have missed the obvious point... he can only play if the manager selects him.

So aim your wrath at the right people at least.

PS I realy struggled to understand your post, so I hope I've answered your question.

If you want to support a team that picks up a lot of trophies at any moral cost then why not support United? I thought this was a fundamental difference between us and them but clearly it's not.

And if you want to support a team that everyone has a soft spot for and wins fuck all, why don't you support Wigan Athletic?

Fundamental diffference? That we should be happy losers? That they are bullies because they want to win all the time?

What age are you? 12?

Did you decide to support City because of what you perceieved to be our "fundamental differences" Did you write a list of pro's and con's before finally plumping to support City because they were nicer people?

Bizarrely enough, but at the age of 8 I didn't think like that. You were clearly a Professor of Morality & Ethics at that age, so it made it easier for you to make that crucial decision, based on our fundamental differences.

Nope. I'm 33 and like most people didn't make any sort of decision, just support them because my Dad does. I don't weigh up pros and cons but City will be spineless if they let that twat play for us again. Regardless of this he is unfit and clearly still doesn't give a fuck about playing for us. He's trouble and his poison needs to be kept from spreading to the rest of the squad.

I'll probably get slaughtered but hey.....

I'd rather finish 2nd than have him play in our shirt again this year, even now looking at the FA Cup celebrations and having him lifting the cup, it feels slightly tarnished.

Can TOTALLY understand the other side of the coin though and people saying 'play him, get him to score goals, lift the title'.

Since the Bayern piss take, my feeling about him just haven't receded, sorry.

Then your dad must be ashamed of you threatening to stop supporting City if Tevez ever plays again.

He should have brought you up better. Maybe with a backbone.

You are clearly too young to remember when it WAS tough following City. Ask your dad, he'll tell what it really means to be a City fan.

There's a difference between handing in a transfer request and refusing to play. Have you never handed in your notice at work if you're not happy with the company you're working for or do you go in, sit there and refuse to do your job? The second is gross misconduct and you're fired for being a ****. This is the real world.

You can't compare Rooney with Tevez.

What Rooney did was (with some justification) question the rags signings and ambitions.

Tevez did the one thing I never thought I'd a City player do - refuse to play. And in front of the worlds media.

He's a ****. He lies about us, he slags our club and our city off and he refuses to play for us. He's dragged our name through the mud.

I'll lose a lot of respect for City, and the owners if this vile little shit is allowed to play for us again, and I really don't give a shite if we lose out on the League as a direct result of it - although we've ok so far without the prick.

We've waited long enough to win it, another year won't bother me.

Ah, so you're changing your argument now!

Before it was "No one would get away with what Tevez has done..." now it's... "he only asked for a transfer".

FFS.

Rooney publicly humiliated the rags far more than Tevez did. He accused them of lacking ambition! That's just about the worst thing you could say about that mob!

And one final point, you keep mentioneing "refusing to play".

Where are you getting this info from? If I remember correctly, he was found not guilty of refusing to play.

Or were you still on that desert island at the time?

-- Fri Feb 03, 2012 3:54 pm --
