Good stuff. How do you know though, mate? I hope it's true, Chelski were awarded 15 mil for Mutu, we could potentially receive much more for Tevez.
First from tolmie (and he is ITK, I'm over a grand better off due to him in the last 4 transfer windows) this morning.

Second from a senior partner at my firm who very close to well respected previous directors at the club.
I've been lurking on this site for a very, very long time. I know he's ITK.

Thanks for the source, though mate. :D

Fucking GLAAAAD we're taking him to court.

Who said were taking him to court?

I considered getting offended then realised this is just banter on a forum and had the nouse to consider it as such ,

Take your " offended by proxy" rant elsewhere it doesn't work on me

So spaz and downy are still OK currency words for reasonable people ? OK so how do people with CP manage to get to the baseline of the assuption that they're just as bright as you or me (e.g job interviews) , despite twitching and dribbling, when thiose symptoms are still equated with 'idiocy' ??

Tevezgate: Carlos is an irate passenger who flies in the face of respect

It was the sight of Carlos Tevez lambasting a member of the Manchester City media department on the flight home from Munich that pretty much said it all.

Sitting in seat 7C on the plane, Tevez waved his finger angrily at the stunned official and demanded ‘respect’. ‘Respect, respect, respect,’ he said, citing an issue he had with the official’s intervention during a post-match interview.

The irony will not be lost on those who would question whether Tevez actually knows the meaning of respect.

If he did, the apology he issued on Wednesday morning would have been addressed to his manager and his team-mates as well as the supporters who paid good money to watch their team play Bayern Munich.

If he did, he would never have refused to play in the first place when City were two goals down in a difficult Champions League clash.

Had he had respect for the football club who pay him £250,000 a week, having paid Manchester United a transfer fee believed to be well in excess of £40million, he would have apologised on Tuesday night and joined his colleagues on the bus that took them from Manchester Airport to Carrington.

As it was he refused to say anything then climbed into a Hummer with only a driver for company.

No wonder City’s lawyers spent Wednesday examining his contract in a bid to ascertain if there had been a serious breach.

This is a situation that needs a swift resolution — and one that does not favour the player more than the club. It cannot end with him securing a free transfer to Corinthians with his contract paid up.

Anyone in any other walk of life would simply have been sacked for refusing to carry out their duties.
What's next? Tevez has been told he won't feature for City again

What's next? Tevez has been told he won't feature for City again

Sadly, the wrong message was delivered by Gordon Taylor. Rather than remind his members this is not the way they should behave, the PFA chief executive spoke of ‘compensation’ for Tevez.

It was as disappointing as the stance adopted by Tevez and it exposes how detached some top players have become from fans who pay their wages.

As Graeme Souness said, Tevez was ‘a disgrace to football’ on Tuesday.

By taking the necessary action City can repair some of the damage.

FIFA want Tevez banned so he cannot play for another club, it's on sky online now.

I heard that but I don't know what they're on about.

Long post alert for the easily distracted...!

There are lots of comments on here what people want to happen, but the truth is a lot more depressing.

Players have almost complete control.
I'm certainly no expert, but I believe the club have very few options in this case.
The first thing they have to do is conduct an enquiry. This is to find out exactly what happened.
You cannot take any action until you have all the facts.
Even then, you have to have reasonable proof of these facts.
All Tevez has to say is that he indicated to Mancicni that he was feeling unwell, and therefore unfit to play. But due to language barriers, this was misconstrued as refusing to play. Or as i suspect what he will say is that he was asked to warm up, but he thought he had already done enough warming up, therefore told he translator to express this. But through a mix up, Mancini was told Tevez was refusing to warm up. Tevez will argue that Mancini took this as refusing to play.

Even if City prove that he refused to play, the mere fact that he indicated he wasn't in the right mental state to play would divert a gross misconduct case. He could argue that City have a "duty of care", which means they have to take care of his physical and mental state.

Assuming City prove the lesser "misconduct" charge, their options are still very limited.
The standard fine of two weeks wages can be imposed, but that is about it.
There may be an option via FIFA/FA along the lines of bringing the game in to disrepute.
This may lead to a longer ban. This might only be from playing, and might mean remaining on full pay.

On to the comments about letting him rot in the reserves, half his wages. Make him train alone, paint the toilets etc etc etc.
Well believe it or not, a player can now be released from his contract is he is not allowed to do his job, ie play football.
City would have to prove that any decision not to include him in normal training or football games was for footballing reasons, and not as any form of punishment.
It would also give him grounds to sue City for constructive dismissal and victimisation.
This could lead to a situation that not only would Tevez be a free agent and retain his registration, he would also be able to claim any money due for the length of the original contract. He could also claim for compensation!

If miracles do happen and City manage to prove a case of gross misconduct. Then City could sack him, and retain his registration. This would mean we wouldn't have to pay him anything, and we could still get paid if another club comes in for him.
This came about to stop footallers doing something to get sacked, just to get released from their club/contract.
I doubt the later very much, and I assume it would end up in all sorts of legal actions.

City could just sack him, and release his from his contract/registration.
Tevez would love this, as that is exactly what he wants. He could even try and get some compensation.
This would be as bad as keeping him.
If the club is smart, don't even consider this even though we can afford too.

City could try and get him to buy himself out. But he would have already done this if there was any benefit to himself. There isn't any financial benefit so it won't happen.

I think City's only real option will be to fine him two weeks wages.
Make him train with the reserves citing fitness reasons. Have him on the bench, once a month. But make sure he isn't picked to play. This will ward off any PFA actions.
Come January, offload him to however will take him.
I know this view won't be popular, but this is how business works. It's not about emotion or what's fair, it's about what you can actually do and what's good financially.

Personally, I would love it if they sack him and take the (massive) financial hit.
He is a poison the club needs to get rid off. We have so many good things happening, that he is the only negative. The sooner he leaves the better...

Another well researched article then!!!

When the board go over the incident when they review what happend. If you look at when 1 of the backroom staff goes over to Tevez it looks like Tevez says hes ready.

I think hes a fucking fool for not doing what he is told. The board will review everything. The players on the bench will be asked about this aswell. More so Zaba as he was beside him during it and Tevez was talking to him.

Saying that if it is found out that Tevez did say he was ready to play and Mancini picked it up wrong then what happens with Mancini?
