Say we get £20m for him, add to that the £10m in fines and it's still a profit for FFP by quite a margin with amortisation.

As for the distraction, surely the original Munich incident was more like to affect us and we went on a storming run of form did we not?

20mil is still less than 30/35mil is it not? - his value is diminishing which isn't good whichever way you stack it up, the drop could be the value of purchasing another decent player in the summer.

With regards the distraction, it could well galvanise us however we won't know that for a bit and all I'm saying is that it might end up being negative - Bob doesn't need any extra pressure at the moment and we have no idea what is going behind closed doors and what the true story is with regards this whole crazy affair.

All I'm doing is playing devil's advocate but something stinks big style about this whole sketch and no clear messages from top brass doesn't help - the Carlos picture being on the site and then apparently disappearing shows this, who's running the show?
£30m (add the fine back in) and it makes very little difference mate. As I say, financially, we'll have suffered more on Ade and RSC.

We need a new CEO of that there is no doubt. Tevez went off message by the look of Kia's subsequent interviews.

All I'm saying is I don't think the whole think half as important as is being portrayed by those that love a good bit of drama and hysteria.
Yes, and I bet the big man would have rather we hadn't lost tens of millions on those players too. I know some of you don't like to hear it but we are still a Ferrari driven by a 14 year old boy at times. That's why our knob rot of a CEO was pushed, that's why we had the shambolic press conference, that's why this whole tevez thing has rumbled on and on without someone solving it.

We try hard, we mean well, hell, we are still loveable old city at heart. But boy we need leadership at times. I have high hopes for a summer shakeup and an end to these fucking sagas

A motivated Tevez gets goals knows the league and is feared by all defenders in the prem so i would have as long as the team morale is not affected. My only concern is he seems to like to be a big fish so to speak & we would'nt be dependant on him as we once were which begs the question :how motivated would he be ?

I'd love to know who sanctioned the "Welcome back Carlos" first picture to be placed as main headline on the OS - "more to follow" underneath.

As I've said numerous times, there are some strange games afoot and I'll guarantee it will all hit the fan over the next week.

I suppose I just don't like it when we have unnecessary distractions, it was all nice and comfortable whilst the **** was in Argentina and I'll be a bit more relaxed when he is back on a plane to Buenos Aires.....

I imagine top level authorisation isn't required for updating the website...however given the comments in his interview the decision to remove the image has more than likely come from on high...which may indicate the view they have of Tevez right now.

I think a bit of pragmatism is required on all sides of the debate

It does look to me as there has been some professional arbitration going on here, the one thing I have been impressed with was the clubs unwillingness to budge when it was clear that Milan had been buttering him up, perhaps all this going AWOL was an attempt to force the clubs hand, but it has become clear that the club knew what was afoot called Milan's bluff and here we are, a player that needs to get his face back on the world stage in order to generate a big money move, and it will be on our terms.

With this in mind I beleive he will play well just to prove he is still worth the money

Whilst I agree about leadership at board level, and I don't think there's a blue that doesn't want someone in to act as a strong CEO, I still don't think we come off badly in this episode, nor that it's as dramatic as sky would have us believe.

I can't pretend to know exactly what Sheikh Mansour (aka 'the big man') thinks on any given subject let alone Tevez however it is fairly clear that the reason why Tevez didn't get sold/released in January is because 'the big man' was in a 'fuck Tevez' mood.

Tevez out of the club on loan to Milan or anybody would have suited Mancini down to the ground. The powers that be decided otherwise and for 'powers that be' read 'the big man'.

This has ceased to be about football, squad morale or whatever. Its all about City or more precisely the owner not willing to be dicked around. Crying about CEO's or leadership is irrelevant. Banging on about what Mancini should or should not have done is pissing in the wind. Sheikh Mansour got the hump over Tevez and withdrew loyalty bonuses. Tevez got the hump back and decided not to go on the pitch. Since then its been a battle and Sheikh Mansour is, seemingly, not willing to let it go. We know this because Tevez is still here - much I think to Tevez's own surprise.

The interview Tevez gave was dumb. It reinforces the Club's opinion of him and allows Mancini to isolate him whilst he is at the club. How much of a distraction it will be who knows but so far it has proved to be an irrelevance. Lets hope it continues to be so.
