You do remember where we've been as a club don't you ? Kind of understand what you're saying but it does come across a bit Billy Big time............

It's the way of the "project". If we win the league this year, next year we'll expect a strong title challenge + the strong CL run. The year after we'll expect either another league + strong CL run or a strong title challenge + the CL.

If we haven't won the CL 3 years after winning the league, the project isn't on course.

The 10 year project was to make City the biggest club in the world. We're halfway through year 4. There is no way that we get to year 7-8 without winning the CL and still achieve that goal. If people don't achieve their goals, their heads roll. Ask Gary Cook or Mark Hughes.

I don't particularly like it any more than you guys do (and indeed have wrote long posts on here supporting the idea of stability and patience), but this is the reality of the situation.
Although the club was taken over by Sheikh Mansour in the 2008/09 season, I'm sure I recall Khaldoon writing that season off as transitional in regards to the project?.

Took over in September 2009, started spending cash in January 2009 with the big money signings of Bellamy, Given, Bridge and De Jong.

Yes, otherwise they'd have to call Doctor Who to get those signings :)

Anybody thought that Bobby (especially if he reads this forum) might do one!!! unbelievable that we have progressed so far so quickly, less than 2 seasons, in a great position and some are considering change, Why? and more importantly WHO?

We back the team the manager the club, we did through the silly years, why are we talking about contracts.

Give Bobby the support only Joe Mercer and Malcolm got, look what they achieved.

Forza Mancini

As I remember, it was the other way round. First the performances, then the support.

I like Yaya quotes regarding Tevez "He knows what he has to do with the staff manager and players" So is Tevez to proud to apologise?

What interview is that waspish bud, have yougot a link please ?

Yaya Toure does not think the return of Carlos Tevez to Manchester City would threaten the squad's harmony in the Premier League title race.

Tevez is back in England after more than three months of unauthorised leave in his native Argentina and he has been training in solitude at his club's Carrington base.

The former City captain's return is far from the end of his bust-up with boss Roberto Mancini, which first started in September's UEFA Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich.

Mancini has hinted Tevez needs to say sorry before he will be fully reinstated and fears remain the striker's comeback could have a destructive impact on a cohesive squad.

But Toure, who returned from the Africa Cup of Nations for Thursday's Europa League win over Porto, told Sky Sports News: "Carlos is a fantastic player and I hope he will continue with us, because we need him.

"He is an amazing player."

Tevez wanted a transfer in January and AC Milan, Inter Milan and Paris Saint Germain all held talks with the player before failing to meet City's asking price in the region of £30million.

His long-running dispute with Premier League table-topping City has been an unnecessary distraction for the club and Toure has indicated Mancini and the players are both expecting an apology.

"For me, it is not a problem," said Toure ahead of a weekend off following City's elimination from the FA Cup. "He knows what he has to say to the boss and to the rest of the players.

"I think all the players will be happy if Carlos comes back."

How come ?
According to some expert posters here, Tevez is a poison who every one of City player's hates !

And how dare you Yaya to say we need Tevez when the team is on the top of the table?
He is a selfish player who don't pass, very selfish & only plays for himself !
So why do you need such a player YAYA ?

I only agree with you Yaya regarding the apology part, he have to apologize, but I don't think he will do it.

Saying sorry had cost him 9 Million Pound so far, and he is still willing to lose more it seems.
His ego is beyond belief.
