Tevez transfer thread

Re: Tevez - Inter

Don't discount PSG. With Pato staying they need another option, and signing Tevez would send one right up AC's kazoo after they messed them about over Pato.

At the very least Kia will use PSG to get better terms for his client and himself, but suits us too as pushes the bidding along.

He'll go for €27.5M, but expect wrangling over terms even after a bid is accepted.

Take it City.

He's on £198,000 a week - £800k a month - £9.6m a year.

More than two years left on his existing deal - we recoup an additional £20m saving in wages, which can be used elsewhere.

Added to a £20m transfer fee and being somnebody else's headache, we should settle at around £23m.

There are always ways of brokering a deal. City should throw a 10 per cent sell on clause in the deal.

Meaning if he does perform and plays up to go elsewhere, they are into us for another £3m or so.

We've kept back £5m in bonuses and will take him for another month.

The figures really do suggest we are getting the better end of the deal for this clown.

Tolm, is there any truth or mileage in City taking this turkey kneck fooker to court if we walk away with £20M, considering his value in the summer was £30-40M, or is this something that we BMer's have dreamt up?

Re: Tevez - Inter

PSG have upped the stakes in their battle with Inter Milan for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

The French giants have tabled a £25m million offer for Tevez, after Manchester City turned down a £21m bid from Inter.

Ancelotti said: "Tevez is a player I really like, he is fantastic. If we want to play at a high level, we must act well in the market, looking for players who can give us a hand."

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has admitted that it will be difficult to sign Tevez.

Moratti said: "I believe there are still other teams involved for the striker.

"There are clubs in England as well as PSG. In football there are no secrets. Our offer is 25million euros. Now it depends on them whether they accept or not."

Moratti also admitted that the club don't necessarily need to striker.

"Do we need Tevez? At this moment, it seems not, but football gives different answers every day.

"The offer is there, but now we are free to decide whether to go ahead or not."

Inter coach Claudio Ranieri added: "You never know. Do we really need him? You journalists certainly do..."

"If he joins he'll be very welcome."

City are adamant Tevez will not be despatched on loan, want £25m up front and are not happy about a ‘sign now pay up later’ deal.

If City fail to sell Tevez, then they face the prospect of deciding whether to hand him back his shirt on February 1 when all moves are off.

City’s first-team coach David Platt said: “The manager is dealing with the players he has got at his disposal. We’re into the January transfer window where Carlos has his suitors.

“Carlos and his advisers will tell you that they want to find a solution for him in terms of a different club. City are quite happy to accept offers. But if it’s not the right deal for the club then he will still be a City player.

“Where we go from February 1 if that happens, we will see and deal with that when it comes.”

Re: Tevez - Inter

It's good that Ancelotti has spoken rather than it just being media claptrap, shows they are serious.

Tevez will join AC, imo.
Inter are not really interested in him. I think the only reason Inter (former Mancio's club) have made an offer to MCFC is to prevent AC from playing dirt and taking Carlos for free...

I dont think so mate. That would be absolutely daft. And mancini has connections so he knows how to handle this proper. What makes you think so anyway?
Time will tell, mate. The end of the month is near.
Inter were interested in Tevez far before AC. Nevertheless despite the good relationship between them and Mancini they did not ask MCFC for "free loan & right to buy" or whatsoever. Why?

Re: Tevez - Inter

I'll be honest and would sell him for 50p if only to stop us paying his £200k a week. As someone else said Fans have paid for tickets, kits and other merchandise to put money in this tossers pocket!!

I would discount PSG at this stage. Doesn't matter how much money they offer us.

Tevez has both Milan clubs on his priority list and unless PSG pay him double what he's on at City, he will ignore it altogether.

As for the legal route, it's doubtful any club will come to an agreement with us before establishing they have his entire focus upon signing.
