Tevez transfer thread

What would you rather? (Tevez)

With 2 days left in the transfer window, what would you rather see?

Tevez end up rotting in the reserves at City for another 6 months

OR

Finally being sold to Milan.

I'd personally like to see him rot in the reserves/youth. It would be more of a statement from the club and would be a message to any other players thinking about coming to City to play on their terms. For me, you can't put a price on that.

-- Mon Jan 30, 2012 9:54 pm --

Also loan back Ade tomorrow just to take the piss with Spurs. Him and Tevez could hang out.

Re: What would you rather? (Tevez)

We don't really want Tevez near Carrington, he could cause a right load of shit if he wants to. i hope Milan come back with a decent offer or he decides to stay in Argentina unpaid

Re: What would you rather? (Tevez)

Eh? What good would it do anyone to have him on our books being paid for six months?

City are desperate to sell him obviously.

I'd prefer to see him sold but the thought of him rotting in the reserves, crying about wanting first team football for 6 months makes me want to giggle. Especially if he has to spend another year after that doing the same thing..........

Pretty amusing all this stuff with Milan, If he goes for our price then it would be pretty well done by our club. Their "tactics" in the transfer window put out for the world to see

I've heard a rumour that this whole Carroll/Tevez thing might've been blown out of all proportion, and that the "offer" was simply a throwaway comment by a Liverpool director to Brian Marwood following talk by Dalglish after the second leg of the League Cup tie to the effect of "if they have any other players they don't want they know where to send them".

Perhaps we're boxing clever here - using Liverpool to force Milan's hand, seeing as PSG and Inter have publically ended their interest?

The very fact that this ridiculous thought of a swap even entered their minds justifies them being the butt of jokes. They must be pretty deluded over there if they value Carroll the same as Tevez..must be the water..
Same with AC Milan if they think they got a like-for-like replacement with Maxi Lopez..

We all know that this transfer will either go to the wire on Tuesday or Tevez will be staying with us till the summer.. It is a battle of wills between the clubs, and who blinks first..City needs to make a statement that they cannot be taken for granted by other clubs who think they can get a steal just because we want to get rid, the way they got Robinho and Bellamy, among others..

Also iirc, today is the last day (Jan 30th) for Tevez to appeal his 6-weeks fine and withholding of wages to the Premier League chiefs. Expect to see some news related to this..

I guess it could potentially stop another situation like this happening again, which could save us money down the track.

They can still sell him in 6 months, I see it still as an investment for other areas of the business.
