If there was a league table of players who contributed to our title win, Tevez would be in the relegation zone. He scored four goals in thirteen appearances against two mid-table sides with nothing left to play for. I'd hope we could have beaten Norwich and West Brom without him. He did nothing against the rags, nothing against Newcastle, and nothing QPR. Three crucial games and nothing. No goals, no assists. As I pointed out before he has an appalling record (apart from Chelsea) of scoring 0 goals in 13 games against the rags, Arsenal and Spurs. In fact, if we'd beaten the rags twice last season courtesy of Tevez's goals of course, we'd have finished joint top with the rags on points. These games are crucial, as they were this season, and last season, and the season before, and Tevez has a very poor record in them.

Fact is I didn't say that the owners aren't the reason we're a big club - what I said was that tevez made a contribution that enabled us to win the prem and become champions. Tevez helped contribute to our recent rise in significance in world football, but so have most of our players. Without CT we would have bought somebody else, it may have taken longer considering Mark Hughes's crap record but the Sheiks money and a good manager Mancini or somebody else would have eventually brought us CL football etc. Man City have always been a big club in English football even when their were n't a success on the field, CT helped make us a big player in European and World football but to give him more credit than he is due is a dis-service to his team mates.
Anyway, I say keep him for the 2 years remaining on his contract, he will be 30 by the end of it, by which time he will have earnt enough money in europe and can go back home to Boca and take over the talisman role from Riquelme. We won't get a fee for him but who cares if we get 4 1/3 seasons out of him in total and we win another League, Champions league or some more domestic cups, he will go down as a MCFC legend even with the misdeamenors if that happens.
I just don't see him moving on this summer; We can definitely rule out Italy, PSG have signed big name forwards already this summer so even though they can afford to spend more they won't be in for him, which leaves only Madrid and depending on whether he would be a Mou or Perez signing, if they get Modric and he is one of the former's then you can as good as rule Madrid out as well as although Mou may have dropped a clanger last season with coentrao I don't think he will give in to Perez getting 2 big signings and spending most his transfer budget this summer.

Tevez was a 1st choice star for Argentina & Aguero was a young player sat on the bench. Then Tevez got fat & strange & Aguero became a star.
When both are available for selection & fully fit, that will be the time to judge. All the rest, people saying they can't play together is bullshit.
On the whole Argentina have been struggling to play together in recent years whoever they pick.
I/we are not saying they can't play together. I at least am just saying 3 good games out of 6 does not make them a great partnership. For the record "Tevez got fat & strange" is the best description I have heard about his past 18 months.
