Tevez...

I can't really see what sort of urgent family problem would enable him to nip out for 5+ hours for a round of golf with 7 mates but not play 90 mins of football for the team that pays him a fortune each and every week.

The fact that he has previous for deceiving the club over 'family issues' doesn't help ease my suspicions at all.

As I`ve suggested once before on another thread 1 + 1 = 3 with some people,so lets assume that the Club were aware of his circumstances, otherwise why let him leave.City would have done some homework on the situation, before making a decison.

Exactly. If this ends up being true I will be finished with getting behind him once and for all...but wouldn't mind seeing some evidence before losing it.

Oh and as for Stuart Brennan's tweet, well there's a shock, club reiterating the party line that Tevez has serious family problems to the journalist from the local rag - why would they tell him any differrently?

So is this a cover up by the Club or SB ,both, or is is possible that its true ?

He had been given permission by the Club to take leave, due to family problems. He met up with his family in Spain and was subsequently spotted on a golf course.
We have no idea as to the the problem so lets cut him some slack on this.If the Club deemed his family problem a concern, then I`m OK with that.

In a way you hope he was because its unlikely he would be playing golf if one of his family was seriously ill.

He`s not the sharpest is he,but I would hope that wasn`t an excuse he hoped he could get away with.If so,then this is as bad a Stephen Ireland "joke" ref his grandmothre/s.
However, from what I`m hearing I`m giving him the OK,that it was a genuine release by the Club due to the nature of his "problem" whatever it was.

so hold on, a team is chasing a title, a team that pays him over 200 grand a week, and he fucks off on a golf course...

this is a joke.

As I suspected theres always someone who wants to make a scene out of something, that only the Club are aware of.We know nothing of the truth, but he didn`t go AWOL!!!

its hardly making a scene is it, hes a paid player, if his family buisness was so urgent why would he have the time for a round of golf.

Let's face it, he's got form for it. Homesick, then pictured in Tenerife with his girlfriend.

If he has serious family problems, then I sympathise, but the past has made me more than a tad cynical

If there was even the slightest hint that there was something untoward about his absence, the press would have been all over the story like a rash. Another "Tevez walkout" or "Tevez bust up with Mancini" story would be meat and drink to them.

The complete silence by the main press strongly suggests that they club have give them an explanation but asked them not to print it. And that they have accepted that explanation. They wouldn't gag themselves if the personal issue wasn't very serious.

We honestly don`t know what his problems were/are.People react differently and has as been suggested that his family were with him in Spain,so maybe a round of golf was part of his recuperation, after dealing with the crisis,or whatever term we want to use.
As I`ve said before,he aint the sharpest.
