The 2012 Olympics Thread - Its Over :(

Re: The 2012 Olympics Thread (4th August, Page 93)

I just can't wait for the different events now, my personal favourite is the 4x400 relay as anything can happen. The mens 100m is unpredictable IMO, Bolt winning would please the crowd but i'd love it if Blake won.

-- Sat Aug 04, 2012 11:50 pm --

Dare i say it, has London been superior to Beijing?

The atmosphere has been breathtaking at times.
Obviously there's over a week left but I think this games will rival the greatest ever of Sydney 2000.
From what I remember, Barcelona in '92 was pretty special.

You old fossil.

I'm really happy for Great Britain and their success so far both in the events and as hosts.

Someone from Britain and the US finishing 1 and 2 in the 10k is quite simply unbelievable. Despite this i think your country needs to share the medals more :)

Sod the Yanks.

Medals per population and you'll see Britain in the lead!!

We're fortunate to have areas that have warm climates year-round that allow our young people to swim and run track without having indoor facilities.

I'd normally agree but i just like to see usual dominance in each individual event destroyed.

However i agree with your logic, we are first bringing in technicalities :)
