That is it a commercial decision. More people interested in United. No problem to me if this is the reason as we benefit from more press coverage than a lot of clubs also.
Lying, smearing and negatively reporting is just as wrong when done for commercial reasons as for any others.

Could not agree more but as you know my comments referred to a specific situation but instead you decided to quote them in isolation. You should get a job for the papers you profess to hate.

I did have several and for quite a long time. You moved from the particular to the general in your observations which is why offered my comment. As always it is the weight the evidence that matters and the sheer volume of anti-City propaganda is simply undeniable.

Mou made the same claims after the Chelsea vs Bayern Super Cup game, he's just blowing off steam....

No he's not, in fact he is being quite clever. Chelsea have had four players booked for simulation this season. If he can turn it round and convince the press to push stories that his players are being wrongly booked they can carry on diving whilst referees become frightened to book them.

Fergiscum did it for years.

In a similar point. $ky mentioned the 4 bookings this morning and showed a mini table, we are joint second having had 2 bookings for simulation, they didn't mention that Aguero against Southampton and Yaya's earlier in the season were clear penalties.

Just see bbc news in 60seconds.

"Southampton hold league leaders Chelsea whilst man utds title challenge is hampered as they are held to a 0-0 draw away to spurs "..

Didn't even give a mention to that side that is three points off top and seven points ahead of the 'title challenging' man Utd.

If we'd have won I doubt there would have been any mention of us "closing the gap." It annoys me too but I think we just have to learn to stop caring about it.

Odd they didn't mention them isn't it? ;-)

No my comment was in a direct response to these words which I actually quoted:

'I think its more to do with some fook-wit that felt it was vital the rags got a mention. It just baffled me'.

Still waiting for this is a weight of evidence. Hopefully it will be better than the BT advert which sadly has left our fanbase exposed to ridicule for its sensitivities.

Re: so this agenda thing.

Oh lads give it a rest ffs. So what if most of the press don't like city. In ten years time everyone will love city because of the glory hunting brigade then we'll be moaning about that too. Just give it a rest and grow up. It's soooooo embarrassing and turning us into a laughing stock again!!!!!

Brought that one on ourselves with the BT ad thread.
Isnt there as many (if not more) blues not bothered about the ad as the ones that are?

it may have been but nevertheless associated you with one of a familiar repertoire of failed attempts to excuse continuous planned media attacks on City on the grounds that it's OK if they are doing it for money. There is no excuse, it is a blatant attempt to denigrate the club by ignoring our achievements and try to stop us gaining new supporters at the expense of the cartel clubs, which is their current primary target audience.
