Yeah I think this now. By Ted's reaction it's not him. Corbett and Davidson were born a few months apart so can't be them. So for me it has to be either Hunter or a long shot is Kate, who's gone a bit weird this series.

I dunno, tried series 3, hated it. It didn't make sense to me - the crime portrayed looked like a once in a generation horror, it was kind of treated like just another murder. Felt the same about Happy Valley - they really push the violence of the crime beyond believability. I mean, ultra-violence is a thing, it's just this didn't ring true, it was like it was appealing to voyeuristic sadism, like a serial killer show, but there was no reason whatsoever to justify it, we weren't dealing with some vain, perverted, maybe even attention seeking serial killer - it just seems like the producers or writers decided it wasn't enough to portray the much more prosaic, unfussy, brutal, careless violence in the organised crime world, and decided to make very showy and sadistic violence a selling point of the show. I really didn't like the acting either! But it's probably just me.

I was more interested in Between The Lines reruns on BBC 4.

That's Ann-Marie who was John Corbett's mum. I thought this at first, meaning Corbett and Jo Davidson were siblings. But it turns out there's only a few months age difference between Jo and John so that can't be right. I presumed the woman in the photo was Ann-Marie but maybe not.

Every idea I've come up with has hit a dead end so fuck knows who the relative is. It depends now what Arnott meant when he said they ran the DNA on a different database - does that definitely mean it's not a copper? If so, then we know it's a male and we know that Tommy Hunter is too young to be her dad. Could she be Lee Banks sister?
