"mod material"? That wouldnt say much about bluemoon mate, if thats all it takes! he! I only wish he was right....sadly the last time I checked my birth cert says 1973, so unless my local Register office is a WUM, I'm 43 this year...

Clearly it did scar you as it didn't happen. We were certainly upset but there was no demo that I remember in 1983. It was much later in the 80's that the first 'Swales Out' demos started but only in 1992, after John Maddock was appointed and Reid was sacked that they really kicked off.

So I'm calling bollocks.

Who mentioned demo? read my comments properly before calling bollocks. I said I was cry, shouting "Swales out" after the Luton game..no mention of demo!...that was another posted that mentioned demos! unbelievable mate, really poor reply especially because you are completely wrong!!

I said,

Hi mate, good points!..."when you can remember standing outside Maine Road, crying, shouting "Swales out" after the Luton game (when we were relegated), missing on a transfer target doesnt seem so bad!;)

At 9 years old you wouldn't have known who Swales was. So I'm still calling bollocks.

I was shouting Swales out regularly back in those days so, I can apreciate where you are coming from.

I know what you mean but they are not mutually exclusive.

I've explained before why I favour something of an overhaul of the first team squad but there are valid arguments for not making lots of changes. Also, change can come from within, it would be wonderful if Angelino and / or Maffeo prove to be good enough to freshen up our full back options.

We have signed Pep to take us to the next level and part of that should be the effect that his coaching, motivational skills and tactics have on our existing players. if he could, on average get 10% or more out of those resources, we would be back to being formidable in the league. However, the more that City can do to help him by their moves in the transfer market, the better. For example, I think it is possible that Nasri could do a fantastic job in central midfield in terms of retaining possession with his passing game but I can't guarantee it; if we bought Kroos to do that job,I'd have no doubt about him fulfilling the role successfully. No idea though if we are / were genuinely interested in Kroos but Pep is undoubtedly a fan of his.
