The Bosnian Diamond changed the game - Dzeko is the man

Perhaps we should buy someone incapable of scoring more than once a game instead.

That's not my point, my point is that his goalscoring record looks better because of these games and it shows the number of games where he's failed to contribute significantly. Dzeko's got all the attributes, he just doesn't use them effectively on a regular basis.

Rooney is above Edin in the scoring stakes due to the 3 he got against Arsenal,
2 free kicks and a penalty I seem to remember.

Goals are always based on averages over the season ( games played to goals scored)...not on how many scored in certain games...
6 of his goals scored have come in games against teams in 2nd and 3rd position in the prem at the moment which is great going and has boosted our goal diff considerably and that is the factor that could decide the title if it came to equal points...
It's not all doom and gloom.

Don't forget that Dzeko's record is helped by the amount of times he's scored more than once in single games, I.e the 4 v Spuds, 2 v Scum etc. Straight away those 2 games alone take that record in the OP to 9 goals in 26 games.

Quite right!

And take away all the games in which Aguero found the net and you'll discover he never scores! Waste of space.

If Dzeko had only scored 1 in the spuds game we'd have only drawn the game..and our goal diff wouldnt be as strong..

I give up sometimes..

Re: Edin dzeko

If he'd have only scored one v Spurs away we would have won 2-1.

Re: Edin dzeko

Yet another Dzeko thread turns into a slanging match. If you can't keep it civil, this thread will go the same way as the others.

Please don't do that. Dzeko threads keep us entertained between the games.

Re: Edin dzeko

Dzeko is a great striker not only that a great team player.ofcourse he can improve but still a fabulous player to have at the club.

Re: Edin dzeko

I used to think aj got a horrid time on this forum but Dzeko has well and truly taken that crown. I personally think he's good but inconsistent and id be fine with keeping him at city long term. However if he did leave, for a decent price I wouldn't weep.

Re: Edin dzeko

Those who say they're being objective critics of Dzeko are liars. Somehow they manage to use historical 4 goal performance against the Spurs against him. Do you think it's easy to score 4 goals in one game in the premier league?

You can argue inconsistency but you can't argue class because that is what it takes to put on that kind of performance against one of the top teams in the league.
