The Boxing thread

You've got to be able to back up all the trash talk and Groves has done nothing. Froth, like him or not, has walked the walk. It was as good a finish as I can remember. Stunning.

Good punch but I disagreed with the commentators on how the fight was going. Groves looked quite comfortable until that punch but fair play to Froch he set it up well.

Let's see him take on Andre Ward, that would truly prove he is a great if he could beat him. Don't think he wants anything to do with Ward though.
Froch has nothing to prove, just shows if the ref had not stopped the last fight, Groves would have got hurt badly. Well done Karl, a true pro and boxer. Respect.

Would have loved to have seen him fight Calzaghe a few years ago, not sure that the money was in it at the time though.

So you think khan and Harrison were serious suggestions?

Well it was a strange list and just named the well known British boxers, did you find his list piss funny?

No, but you thinking he was being serious was mildly amusing.

Well glad you are easily pleased and confident that everybody knows lots about boxing.

Hmmm...I think Dogtanian has missed the joke as badly as Groves missed the punch!

I really dislike froch but tonight he backed his arrogance up and hat off to him he can box as well as scrap, fair play, I personally had it groves up a round and coming on strong but a great punch to end it. Think hed batter degale and he should just have the 1 more fight against ward in las vegas like he wants

Froch walked it tonight IMO. I never thought he was in any danger. He's too arrogant for me to warm to him, but he's a decent champion.

Okay; serious question. Ignoring the fact that they're in different weight divisions (three divisions between them), do you honestly think Audley Harrison is a credible contender and that the poster was being serious when he suggested him? Honest answer please.

Me neither. He was never in any real trouble.

Jim not everyone knows about boxing, my sister wouldn't have a clue neither would my mother, he named one in the same weight then two well known British boxers.
