Agree he’s not the best ever but to say nowhere near is laughable.
When he beats AJ and Usyk, he’d have wiped the floor with his generation and retire unbeaten.

And thats all you can do. Not his fault he fought in a different era to great fighters who came before him but weirdly the fact that he cant (wouldnt?) beat them is used as a stick to beat him with. I root for the fella, rag or not hes an entertainer, both in and out of the ring.

He's a bloody good boxer, i suppose it's not fault that the heavyweight division is and has been a joke for years.

You can't compare in that way though, they were different bloody generations, I've watched boxing all my life, nothing to do with being caught up in the hype, boxing has changed (not even saying for the better) you can't blame the boxers as it isn't even down to them who they fight nowadays.

Who are the elite fighters on Mike Tyson's record? You can only fight what's out there.

I suspect Fury would beat any of the greats listed, simply due to size differential but then again if those fighters were around today, they'd probably also be bigger. So impossible to tell really but Fury would certainly be up there in the discussion IMO.

Surely your not comparing who tyson has fought to who tyson fury has fought ! Get what your saying about proper elite fighters but really good fighters such as tucker Micheal spinks tyrell Biggs Trevor berbick bonecrusher smith Mitch green was no mug either and don’t forget Lewis didn’t want a part of Tyson until he was well past his self by date as did Holyfield aswell . Tyson fury could be the best of his generation but beating wilder and vlad isn’t gonna put him with the greats . The promoters are the ones which are ruining boxing because they are that scared of a fighter getting beat they would rather fight bums to make more money which harms boxing and we then don’t see the fights which we should . There are no great fighters in the heavyweight division in my option, haven’t been since the 90s

There has always been great fighters in the heavyweight division, the main problem is when they introduced the cruiserweight division it completely ruined the heavyweight division, and most organisation put in a minimum weight restriction to fight for belts, when you look closer a lot of the all-time greats like Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Joe Frazier and many others would weigh either dead on or just too much for cruiserweights these days but not enough for heavyweight.

It gets banded about "he got knocked down by a cruiserweight" by idiots about various heavyweights, and because fighters between cruiserweights and heavyweight aren't allowed to fight at their natural weight, most ,of those smaller heavyweights are not as quick or lack effective stamina to trouble the giants these days.

Tyson and Ali, Foreman and Holmes were all big heavyweights back in the day now they're quite small for heavyweight bar Foreman, who is still fairly big but not massive like peeps thought of him in the old days.

There has always been giant heavyweights in the past and good ones too but the likes of Marciano who is criminally underated, with his stamina speed toughness and brutalising could've chopped down the likes of Lewis, both Klitschko's and Fury too, people don't realise Marciano was incredibly hard to hit cleanly but he was ... Tyson Fury is world class and at his current level would give anyone in history problems win, lose or draw.

Having said that though the likes of Frazier and Marciano or Dempsey are the brawlers are the types who used to brutalise the big giants in those days, Tyson Fury's footwork, hand-speed dark art/dirty tricks and ring IQ with his towering size and heart would defo cause problems for most in boxing history.

Not saying he would be one of the absolute greats but styles make fights.
