Well done to Quigg winning in 2. Shocked at that didnt see the fight yet but shocked that Kiko got caught out.

As for Carl Frampton. It seemed to me he got caught cold. Whoever said Carl doesnt hit hard well i call bullshit. This is why Carl is so good and why I highly rated him from day 1. The Mexican lad had a height and reach advantage over Carl yet Carl was peppering with the jab all night after the nightmare first round caught cold maybe. After the Knock downs no wonder Carl boxed rather than go toe to toe with the lad.

At the end of the fight you could see how down Carl was that was his worst fight since he turned pro for me. Saying that he had weight issues for the fight and had to take off so much in the last week is shocking. A bad thing as Carl is generally on the button and never has weight problems. Him saying that they may well look at moving up to featherweight after the fight might be a bit pre mature.I think its a bargaining ploy he looked beatable tonight while now his rivals in the weight class Quigg and Santa Cruz might think they will have a chance. Think Frampton v either will happen next then Carl v Rigo before he moves up but if cutting the weight is getting too much for Carl then a move up might be good and he could well get a good few fights at featherweight against the world champions up there. Carls going to be huge in the US the fans will love him if he sticks out there.

If you mean me I said his power is overrated, that he's a hurtful but not concussive puncher, he landed over 50% of his power shots on Saturday night and never looked close to stopping the bloke

Big fight coming up in 2 weeks, Campbell v Coyle i train in the gym with Coyle and go running with him, and he's looking superb at the moment.

Thats only going one way for me, Campbell KO. I like Tommy hes a nice lad and proof that hardwork and graft can take you far, but hes far far too rash with his defence. See the fight with Derry where he took every round and let himself get caught. Then he made the Brizuela fight harder than it should have been whilst Luke dispatched him with no drama. Hope I'm wrong and will be rooting for Tommy but its not happening

The kid Alejandro Gonzalez has never been stopped so maybe he has a decent chin. By far he gave Framptons the most problems of anyone Carl has faced but he can take a punch. A bit of a dirty fighter with the low blows but that happens. It was clear to me after the first round Carl was just going to box Gonzalez and take the win on points. Carl was advised not to go toe to toe. Carl has KO'd a lot of fighters he has boxed has put a lot of fighters down. Maybe he was drained at the weight this weekend who knows so your power aint going to be much the longer the fight goes. Carl has it all showed he has heart and bottle to get up and win the fight. Carl will be a great addition to the US scene and will be in big fights both here and in the US.

As for the Campbell v Coyle like both lads no bullshit between them. Think this will be a war. Campbell will be tested and it is needed. Would like to see Coyle win but I think if Campbell boxes rather than trades with Tommy he will have a points win. Think the card is decent. Brian Rose has to win against Carson Jones or he may as well retire. Nice to see Dillian Whyte on the bill. Be nice to compare him with AJ as the 2 are the best young heavyweights fighting in the UK at the moment for me. So setting up a fight with AJ is a good thing.

Frampton & Quigg is a pick em fight if they ever meet, but im not so sure after last weekend there's talk of frampton moving up to featherweight . Maybe Barry Mcguigan wont fancy risking frampton against a banger like Quigg after seeing him destroy martinez they must now sit up & take notice the frampton team can't keep claiming that Quigg isnt good enough to share a ring with him , going off last saturday's performances there's nothing between them 50/50 fight .

Carl has beaten Kiko twice. KO'd him also had him down in there last fight too. I watched the Kiko v Quigg fight. Kiko won the first round started the second round well until the uppercut from Quigg. Who went all out to get rid of Kiko which was high risk on Quiggs part. He could of blowed up there and if Kiko would of survived who knows how the fight would of went. It was a good win for Quigg.
Frampton and moving up weight is a huge move up. He isnt running from Quigg or ducking Quigg both fighters have been calling each other out time and time again. Hearn has been trying to sort the fight out but what we see is facts Carls holding the real World title belt. Quigg has a paper title as Rigo is the real WBA champion not Scott. Quigg and Hearn want the fight in Manchester when Quigg is support act to Anthony Crolla while Carl brings more to the table so they wont just turn up to Manchester for the fight if the deal isnt right. Also Hearn wont let the fight happen in Belfast so a fight in the US could work or a fight outside of Manchester be it in London could work too. The ideal fight is in the US a fair location as none would have a advantage sadly trying to fill out a arena with Quigg v Frampton would be a hard sell. Only if Rigo or a Santa Cruz is on the same bill thats a no go there. So Eddie will have to break the bank for this fight to happen or Carl gets Santa Cruz or moves up in weight. This is the best thing for Frampton this preformance as it sets so many options for him as he is seen as being beatable now so I think Carl will get a big fight sooner rather than later so its all good.

I never said frampton was running scared of Quigg i suspect he would fight him anytime but im not sure that's what Barry Mcguigan wants .Opinions have changed a bit since saturday where most fight fans would of backed frampton but not sure now . What is definite though is the Quigg team fancy the fight more than frampton's team lets hope they can sort it because it would be a cracker .

Thats the things with Quiggs fight. The ending was great for Quigg the first round was shit he was hit too easy in the first round. So there is a lot of people who are just thinking of the finish. Wow Quigg KOd Kiko inside 2 rounds. Its all about opinions but if you look at the fighter Kiko is always a come forward fighter like Quigg it was never going to go the distance.
A Frampton fight Carl can do a plan b or c and fight on the back foot. Gonzalez had a 3 to 5 inch reach and height advantage yet Carl had the better jab and that basically won Carl the fight on Saturday. How would Quigg fair against Carls jab and movement and power is the biggest question. I look at Quigg Salinas out boxed him at times when they boxed and that fight finished a draw. Quigg never gave him a rematch. Quigg against boxers finds it hard at times. Quigg come forward approach against the top fighters in the division will lead him into troble. Quigg trying to fight on the backfoot he cant do it just a high gaurd like against Kiko. Quigg fights Rigo he gets out classed and loses on points the same with Frampton he loses on points or a late stoppage. A fight with Nonito Donaire is another risky fight for Quigg if Hearn is to be believed and it goes ahead. Not too sure Donaire went up the weights and got bashed but at Super Bamtamweight making the weight might be hard for him but if he is on form then that be a hard fight for Quigg but a lot of people think Donaires defeat by Nicholas Walters showed he has lost that spark he once had and hasnt been the same fighter since. By September we will find out whats going on with both Quigg and Frampton and were they go so hopefully both fight or are in good fights.

Coyle is a class guy proper salt of the earth fella and i really like him but i can't see any other outcome than Campbell beating him in 8 rounds maybe a touch longer I rate that Campbell could clean up the Lightweight division and would dish out a beating to Linares if he comes in line for WBC.
