Honestly, I do not know anyone's lives that are positively affected by the presence of the monarchy. Until yesterday, barely anyone I knew ever discussed it in a positive sense, or a negative one, yet now are filled with outpourings of grief and are desperate to change their social media photographs. As for The Queen, I feel sad for her family, who have lost someone they loved, but I cannot share that grief myself. For the people who profess the fantastic job she did, I have no idea of the quality of the job she did but I know that she was enormously well compensated for it - I have no negative feelings about that, she may have deserved it and she may not have done. She has raised four children: Charles is currently the subject of substantial allegations about cash for peerages, had an affair, and is a divorcee; Andrew is also a divorcee and has significant and heinous allegations against his character; Anne is a divorcee and Edward I know absolutely nothing about. Her children are not a symbol of what an amazing woman she was but if we look at ourselves, is she so different?
May she rest in peace and if you are genuinely affected by her passing, my sympathy is with you.
