The British Monarchy

I’m as far away from being a fan of Truss as possible but advocating looping her opinion as a 19 year old that she denounced fairly soon after would be equally bad reporting to be fair.

Maybe so,but what I’m saying is would everyone get that slack ?

Depends on the context. It’s not as if her previous views on the monarchy aren’t known about and weren’t reported.

I’d argue the bbc are far less likely to not report it than the majority of the papers or other tv media outlets that have come up recently.

At this moment, I’d say yes. Political point scoring has been postponed.

I‘m sure Starmer or Blackmore will ask at PMQs if she enjoyed her ceremonial role in the changing of the monarch, given that she doesn’t agree with monarchism.

It's wholly different. Those footballers and billionaires you've just mentioned have actually grafted to get to where they are. Actual hard work and dedication. Not just showing your face at public events to cut a ribbon and then wave and smile politely. They didn't have a life of unparalleled luxury thrust upon them purely because they fell out of a particularly birth canal.

The Royal Family are loved by many. That's fine. But many also see them for what they are, the vestiges of bloodthirsty, lawless land grabs and a time when they quite literally shat on their subjects from a great height. Good on those representing those Irish and African groups who aren't conforming to this fawning, sickly bullshit.

I have more respect for ALL of City's players than I do for my new "king". In fact I have more respect for the tea lady. He isn't my king; I fucking detest what he represents and embodies and thus, he's an irrelevance to me.
I think you underestimate how much work the Queen would have to have done to have the understanding of all the countries’ laws, customs and political situations when she would meet their presidents, prime ministers and ambassadors. And she was doing that sort of work into her 90s.

Every leader she met spoke very highly of her knowledge and dedication to detail. You wouldn’t get world leaders saying what they have about her this week if she was just someone who showed her face at public events to cut a ribbon (including from Putin). If she was just someone who did that, world leaders would react to her death like that Alan Aprtridge “so what” gif.

She was an important part of many countries gaining their independence during her reign. And then has been a huge figure of the Commonwealth and keeping the Commonwealth going. She got 46 countries to join the Commonwealth during her reign. What other person in history has seen an empire crumble, help in getting countries gain independence from that empire, and then work with nearly 50 independent countries and get them to voluntarily join the old leader of that empire in a multilateral union that benefits all involved in ways from lower trade prices to laws to abide by democracy and avoidance of human right abuses?

It’s daft when people say the Queen did fuck all.

I might work harder day-to-day in my life than she did, but I could live for 1,000 years and not achieve what she did through her work.

Check this out for an example of entitlement. Move it yourself you jumbo eared ****. Fucking appalling.

Joke, isn't it? Horrible individual, horrible institution. If somebody gestured to me like that I'd f*****g chin them.

But no doubt the flag-wavers will be out in full force when he has that shiny relic of bloodlust plonked on his bonce in the months to come, screaming in adulation for somebody who given't give two shiny shits about them.

And now for something completely different. Liz had a sense of humour and I think she would have enjoyed this as much as I did.

Well, to be nauseated by someone who actually cares about making peoples lives better, is your prerogative. I do not tug forelock’s or feel anyone is better than me, or you, just because of the class they happened to be born into. But, it’s a free country allegedly, unless of course you want to challenge the status quo, then you are a ****. Free my arse, free if you tug your forelock and take the knee in subjugation that you know your place. I know my place and it is never to bow to no **** because they are posh and entitled.
Do you often have people asking you to tug their forelock?

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Take a look around you right now at what has been decided on all our behalf’s about how we can live and what we are allowed to do? It’s over the top bollocks. 10 days? But, only football is cancelled? The only working class game. Strikes being called off because they know the right wing media would use it to have a go.

In my opinion, It’s all designed to condition us into believing we can’t do without Monarchy. To keep us tugging our forelock’s and in our place. Now people can do that, and good luck to them. I prefer to think of that situation as servile. It’s a personal thing. Or am I not allowed to call it nauseating conditioning bollocks.

Is it right to name someone King when they are the subject of a live investigation into cash for peerages?

To be fair he's probably less of a criminal than other Kings have been, even recent politicians PM's have had charges levelled at them and still held office.

They can condition all they like,
they'll have nothing over me ever.

It certainly is over the top. But football is cancelled precisely because it’s not a working class game anymore. The governing body and clubs in football couldn’t be more out of touch with their working class fans if they tried. They made a rash decision thinking they were doing what all the other sports would do, but the other sports thought about their fanbases and made their decision based on them.

Rugby league (the true working class game in this day and age) games are on this weekend. Hudds v Salford is on now. Leeds even played last night.
