To be fair, ITV had sat on the video for weeks and didn’t consider it newsworthy. It’s only the mirror breaking it that then made ITV act.

Don’t underestimate the contacts ITV have too, nor that you can’t find good reporting on the BBC or Sky either (Ross Atkins on the former for example)

well for a start you need a suitable OBD reader to find out which black box to throw away.........thankfully brakes and suspension components are still fixable with spanners and brute force.
Rust is still a bit of a twat though - care has to be taken to check what lies beneath - scrapped my wife's Hyundai in December - 56 reg low miles nice shiny silver body work - MOT revealed it was rotten as an over ripe pear underneath. Neighbour had similar with an albeit much higher mileage Corsa - looked sound but nearly fell in half when a garage raised it on a 2 post lift to look underneath

Very similar metro ones were one of the first sealed joints so once worn were throw away were as with the mini you could shim and grease but power difference at that time was immense acceleration was really good in a straight line.

Fair play to ITV news for breaking all this . Makes me wonder what BBC and SKY have been up to for twelve months to with all the usual kusenenburg and rigby insider knowledge they claim to have they’ve been embarrassed by ITV .
Bring back ITN !!! . There’s no way on this earth that the two pre-mentioned news outlets did not know about this but probably did a little deal to do a body swerve instead for a meaningless story to keep them at the top table for questions keeping themselves in the limelight for the political editors.

Completely agree with that. On any of them, you have to stay away from their chief correspondents (so Kuenssburg, Rigby and Peston), there’s others that are good for each though.

The issue with the parties is the moment Johnson admits the existence of them, then it makes criminal proceedings likely and then it’ll take down a lot of people, I wouldn’t be surprised if any of those three journalists wouldn’t be included too…
