I'd wager that "slick package" was a while in the making too.

It's politics and there are always shenanigans.

However hes just another rich Tory weasel,who's personal ambitions are of greater import than the mundane stuff of governing the country for all,rather than privileged few.

He’s also tarred with the law-breaker stain, yet I think he’ll have the money, nous, and allies to get to the final two. If he does become prime minister, it’ll be interesting to see if he starts doing the things Johnson asked him to do but he dragged his feet over: what changed? If he doesn’t land the post, however, he’ll be out of politics at the next General Election.

I think we can all applaud Peter Bone on becoming a minister as Deputy Leader of the Commons, a job not used since May's time.

As has been pointed out by others, the resignation honours are going to be horrific.
