Liz Truss has defended earnings at energy companies amid soaring price rises, saying profits should not be considered "dirty and evil".

The Tory leadership hopeful said windfall taxes on profits - urged by some to fund help for households - were about "bashing business".

She said cutting taxes was the best way to help with living costs over winter.

Profit is not ‘evil’ but unions trying to get their members a rise to keep their heads above water are ‘militant’ and their leaders are ‘Marxist’
‘Public Ownership’ or ‘ Nationalisation’ are terms never to be used although I suspect that a huge majority of brexiters would be vehemently opposed to it.
It’s strange that really ‘taking back control’ would be crystallised in public ownership- the people taking control of their own utilities.
But strangely those right wing patriots would rather we are held to ransom by foreign owners of our power, water and transport.

We know already 15 billion plus 7 billion spent , it’s a joke so many people in poverty and we need to lower tax
