The Conservative Party

This.
Some people just don't engage their brain before they open their disengaged mouth holes.
Goes back to the quotes on art, painting and music making the human experience worthwhile.

There's only so much walking in nature and reading of books you can do. We need other experiences.
Totally agree mate and I generally read two/three novels a month doesn’t mean I should feel guilty about getting my fix of Stranger Things or Cobra Kai!

All the so-called leadership candidates who said the system was broken are now lining up to support the Johnson continuity candidate. I can't wait for these fuckers to get what's coming to them (as someone who reluctantly voted Tory at the last GE and is now deeply ashamed!)

Fuck me , Netflix £10 a month and Sky probably on average £80 a month , I do wish the working class would stop taking the piss with such luxuries . At times posters stupidity knows no bounds .
£80 a month? Really?

If that really was a common sort of spend, not spending it would be a saving - personally I hope people give up the Express, Mail and Sun first.

Sky and Netflix are the new flat screen TV to be used to castigate the poor from having any disposable income to spend on their own enjoyment

It’s bad economics anyway. Take away discretionary spending and there will be job cuts across the private and public sector (less money in council budgets etc), which means there will be less spending, and the race to the bottom continues.

People even have the audacity to have a phone!
Well lets say you are a family of 4 each on an expensive mobile phone contract say £40 per month. Cut that down to sim only and you can reduce that to £6 a month. Thats a total monthly outlay of £24 vs £160 before. You have saved £136 a month....Now that energy bill is looking much more affordable

Now say this family also has sky tv and netflix...cut those out saving £90 per month...you have now saved £226 per month which will certainly cover your energy bill increase in October unless you have a massive house. Plus you can still go out as much as you did before......

Exactly, there was a post not so long ago about pay rise’s. If the normal working class get a pay rise, it might mean more spent on the weekly shop, an extra evening or two in the pub or a chippy tea/takeaway all which goes back into the local economy and keeps the wheel turning it won’t go on a super yacht or new private jet. No disposable income means people will cut back on their shopping, socialising etc leading to local businesses shutting as we are already seeing then less money going to the treasury. You can’t kickstart an economy if the majority of your population have no disposable income to spend, I’m not an economist so I may be simplifying things here.
