The Conservative Party

Blaming it on the pay review body, nothing changes with these cunts.
That would be the "not so" independent review body.

Jane Secker has said several times that it is only a recommendation from this body, which the NHS don't agree with so, as the purse holder, why won't the Health Secretary sit and discuss pay, but the Government stance is firm in that they agreed with the recommendation, so no further discussions are needed. In fact Steve Barclay has been invited 5 times to meet, but hasn't.

Not a clever or inspiring position to take. Clearly, they don't want resolution, so we will all suffer as a result

Worth looking at the pay review body remit.

Right there, not in bold letters, is that they must have regard to how much the Tory government gives to the Health Departments.

Of course they agree with the recommendation.

Maybe when they invite him by email, copy in all media to show they’ve done it and await his reply, this would show they are trying and the government clearly aren’t.

And certainly ok for the idiot truss and her idiot chancellor to borrow eye-watering sums to give tax cuts to the wealthiest, while denying a decent income for nurses.
Priorities, priorities.

Look, Kwarteng just got carried away, okay? I mean, he said so, so that's all fine and in the manner of the current govt, we should now consider the matter over.

I wonder why he thinks that helps. How can anyone who 'gets carried away' have even been on a longlist for such a job? He's basically said "I shouldn't have been given the job"!

They want conflict, it’s quite clear.

Having read a few of the review body’s reports, it is easy to see that they are heavily influenced by government, so not really independent.
