Ha ha ha, strange, but all true stories.Last time I went in one was Middy Junction in the 80's for a game of snooker. Signed in by my mate who was a member I had a couple of pints of JWL - very nice as it should have been as the brewery was just over the road.
I went for a slash and on the way in I saw that those bleach blocks that they lob in the urinals had been knocked or had fallen off the window sill and were on the floor. So being a guest I thought the good thing to do was pick them up and put them back.
Then I had a slash and suddenly my knob was on fire - whatever was in that block was very caustic so I dropped my kecks and shuffled across the loo to wash my hands and cock in the sink............. That was when I was interrupted by a Committee member coming in who thought I was pissing in the sink and I was ejected ha ha ha
It is similar to the monarchy, in fact. Very few young people have any interest in the monarchy, or in voting Conservative. If that continues, and if young people can bother to vote, we may soon see a time in history where the Conservatives never gain power again.
The Tories are employing a scorched earth policy on our economy, society and everything we hold dear and no one in the media is laying a glove on them. Put Sunak in front of Hislop or James O’Brien for a good hour.Politics will always go round in circles
4/5 years from now they’ll be ‘turmoil’ in the Labour camp, unemployment could be an issue, economy, foreign affairs etc - it might seem bad now (which it is) but it’s all forgotten after a few years and the next party begins to feel the heat - media turns, they can find a scandal here and there. It’s a dirty game
This current situation feels different to me and I'm old enough to remember the chaos of the 70s. Our political system has delivered one of the most unequal societies in the world (certainly in Europe). Most of the power and wealth is centralised in one small section of the country while the standard of living for the remaining population (about 50m people) is poor. Millions of young people are disenfranchised. The UK has failed to modernise and fallen behind most other Western countries and the emerging nations of Asia and elsewhere.Politics will always go round in circles

The politicians (of all parties) seem unwilling to change the system that has made them personally wealthy from the London property market, from their second jobs, and from very high salary, expenses, and pension packages. They have run out of ideas. It's not really about Left and Right any more. The future is about innovation, creativity, and modernisation. Our broken system can't deliver what is required. Something has got to give.
