Is this not the same or similar to starbucks and amazon not paying tax here ?
If he is funnelling then yes it’s an issueThe issue here is Sunak funneling his cash through her to avoid paying tax, much like many a tory or big business setting up overseas.
A loop hole that badly needs closing but never will
Similar yesIs this not the same or similar to starbucks and amazon not paying tax here ?
If the money was earned here I totally agree with paying tax
If not then I’m not bothered
If she broke the law fuck her, if not leave her alone.
didnt the gov go mad about that as well as the public ? If so why not on the sunaksSimilar yes
Says she is one of 59 shareholders and lost moneyBy way of a reminder she took money off HMRC last year and defaulted on repayment she is that squeaky clean

Two of firms that Rishi Sunak's wife had shares in go bust
Akshata Murty owned shares in Lava Mayfair Club Limited, a private members club 'focusing on positive social change' that collapsed owing £43.7m to creditors, including £374,000 to HMRC.www.dailymail.co.uk
Do you pay all of your legally required tax?didnt the gov go mad about that as well as the public ? If so why not on the sunaks
That’s as maybe but the voters aren’t really interested in the minutiae of the tax system, particularly that of a foreign nation.Utter tripe. For her to not be consider non dom she would have to sever all ties with India - she is an Indian citizen paying Indian taxes. This money never arrives in the UK yet somehow you think we are entitled to tax it. Let alone the moral point that would deprive India of much needed income - you know a country with real poverty not relative poverty. But so long as we British are alright Jack eh?
That isnt the point , we pay for her and him to live in two free places , pay his expenses , tax payers money , they should be squeeky clean and not taking advantage of loopholesDo you pay all of your legally required tax?
Or do you pay more?
Yeah, it's interesting that it's constantly written about as "his wife's income." I was under the impression that the whole point of getting married is that all income is the property of both people. So it's his income too. The fact that it comes from his wife's activities (or more accurately, sitting on her arse and being handed money) is irrelevant, and that's also why it's completely fair game as far as the criticism is concerned.Because her husband is Chancellor of UK
She lives here full time, she has to or he wouldn’t have passed the security clearance required to fill his role in cabinet.
The chancellor benefits from her nondom status by sharing her wealth and the trappings of that wealth, jetting off to their palm beach mansion recently I believe.
He’s got no legitimacy to raise taxes when he’s directly benefitting from his wife being non-dom.
I’m an advocate of Low Taxes personally but that’s beyond the pale.

Your really do have a boner for tax dodging tory aresholes. They laugh their bollox of at people like you - sticking up for them despite the blatant corruption and self interest.Do you pay all of your legally required tax?
Or do you pay more?
It is exactly the point. That isnt the point , we pay for her and him to live in two free places , pay his expenses , tax payers money , they should be squeeky clean and not taking advantage of loopholes
Really ,that is your point , millions in tax versus someones earphones lolIt is exactly the point.
We only pay for that if we pay our legally required taxes
I’m guessing she pays her legally required taxes (probably more than you, but that’s a guess).
We also pay for Angela Rayners personalised ear phones and other ridiculous expenses (on all sides) when these people don’t actually need them.
They all use the rules to their advantage
Change the rules by all means
Listen I pay and have paid all of my tax all of my life.Your really do have a boner for tax dodging tory aresholes. They laugh their bollox of at people like you - sticking up for them despite the blatant corruption and self interest.
As has been said - this might be legal but it isn't right. Tories engineered the system that allows it. Cunts. We need them gone ASAP and a neew government to implement a fair tax system.
If that’s how you see the point then yesReally ,that is your point , millions in tax versus someones earphones lol
As i said tories laugh at people like you - those that think gaming the system is fine as everyone does it and just shrug their shoulders when tories are up to their eyes in corruption and conflict of interest.Listen I pay and have paid all of my tax all of my life.
I didn’t get furlough during Covid but
I watched plenty of self employed people claim loans, furlough etc while working cash in hand etc
I know others who frig it so they pay as little tax as possible.
I don’t like it, but if the rules are there....
I’m not anti rich I think everyone should play by the rules
Why would she pay any tax in India - she doesn't live there! At a guess, as I don't know, but she probably pays less tax in India than she would here; hence keeping her Indian passport.
